Presently reservation charts are prepared 4 hrs before train departure of that particular RAIL for that station. Then they are given to the concerned TTE.After TRAIN departs the TTE checks the list and update the seat/berth position for that bogie. Presently the reser system is such that the TTE won't report that position of the chart to the next station reservation staff. He simply keeps the chart to himself and allot vacant berths/seats at the next stationto passengers who offer money to him

On reservation counter the ticket is booked only with cash. Why we cannot have POS machine on each and every Reservation window so that dependency can be reduced on cash? When entire world is going digital for transaction why Railway is not accepting Debit/Credit Card for ticket purchased and takes only cash? For ticket booking with Debit/ Credit Card Railway is charging transaction fee should be removed. Instead there should be incentive for using Debit/Credit Card.

We can do reservation from Internet but we do not have system for Unreserved Ticket and due to which there is a long queue on ticket window. Mumbai has started with ATVMS such machine should be available for all India level. The fare should be made to pay by Debit Card and Credit Card too. Present system of recharging ATVMS card on ticket window is creating more issue. System should be available to recharge ATVMS card on internet/ mobile.

Suggestion:- Each train should have chair car (double decor) and those person are travelling only 300-400KL then their booking is only in cc. because in India at every 300-400KM we have big station. this system will provide the berth to >400KM passenger easily.

I observed problem at IRCTC. The problem is that If we want to book one ticket through online and seats are booked and WL is On then, we can not view that which ticket is booked (boarding) from which station. e.g If train is bangalore to delhi and tickets are full then we cant see the booking is from banglore to delhi or some other station. it is not possible that all tickets are booked from Bangalore to Delhi. If person will board from bhopal to delhi in same train other can book Bang to bhopal

for booking normal tickets its quite well, but for booking tatkal tickets its the worse system i think. during tatkal hrs the website merely opens and is so slow that within 4-5 mins all the tickets are over. i was amazed few days ago when 300 tickets got over just in 4 mins and my transaction got cancelled. at the window its horrible the ticket officer give tatkal ticket only to dalal. he directly says no tickets available and when the dalal goes there are lots of tickets. nothing has changed

There shd be a tool for customers to record their appreciation for good work done by any particular employee. Such positive feedback cd be made available in the IR website and made part of the appraisal process. Currently there is only a "Complaints " box in most govt depts - which is negative and demotivating.

All type of tickets whether for reserve or unreserve couch may also be allowed online. All checking / running staff may be provided mini laptop instead of hard copy of chart. Rail ticket booking may be allowed up to departure of train. Non use of hard copy of charts alone could save crore of rupees annually. All the checking staff may work on line.

India railway should come up with new system like(1) Access of ATM card at ticket counter for payment of ticket this will reduce cash handling and digitalization will improve and less burden on employee with good facility to customer(2)Railway should start yatracard which can be used for ticket booking,at ticket counter of railway and platform ticket. One can online recharge yatracard and recharge can also possible by recharge coupan.Ticket should be booked by mobile application easily.

A idea in line with PM's strategy of using tourism for transforming economy and adding some revenue for railways 1. For online ticket booking to a destination one should get an email for the places he can visit , or specialities of the place . 2. Website should direct him/her to shop for special goodies , souvenirs etc on irctc website of the city that he is visiting - like a ticket to Benares should allow a option to shop for Banarasi saree on the irctc website
