"Seat selection" feature for train reservations: If for Flights and buses, we can choose the seat at the time of booking, why not on Trains? This will not only provide a choice to passengers but make reservations more transparent as well. Indian Railways was one of the first public transport organisation to adopt computerised reservation system and should once again be on the forefront in using technology to reduce corruption and malpractices and improve passenger convenience and comfort.

1. Increase the number of tickets per month limit and link irctc account to Aadhaar number. 2. Make food reservation online with train/coach/seat number and remove pantry car from all trains. It is a waste of energy resource to carry that. 3. Food can be supplied as in flights which doesn’t consume much space 4. Provide mobile charging points besides seat and provide wifi. 5. Reduce running time of all the trains by 5% which can be done with present resources.

Dear Sir, In railways we need to identify the routs on which there is continuous waitlisted and even tatkal quota gets closed in fraction of seconds like Bangalore - Delhi , in such situation Agents are making money , we need to see the demand and based on that additional coach/trains need to be added , Regional Heads need to work like the business heads of their respective region to maximize the revenues which shall go directly in railways pocket rather than middlemans. Thanks Sachin
