The Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites innovative ideas and constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen taxpayer services and contribute towards building a more transparent, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration. This participatory initiative provides a platform to share practical ideas for enhancing taxpayer awareness, simplifying compliance processes, improving digital taxpayer services, and promoting ease of compliance.

Suggestions may also focus on strengthening service delivery, leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), improving grievance redressal mechanisms, enhancing taxpayer education and outreach, and introducing innovative solutions to improve the overall taxpayer experience. Your valuable ideas will contribute towards making tax administration more accessible, technology-driven, citizen-centric, and responsive, while supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through better public service delivery, participatory governance, and greater taxpayer trust.

I have developed a detailed concept for a new Indian governance and economic system focused on digital identity, cashless transactions, production-based money creation, zero-interest productive loans, transparent government contracts, milestone-based payments, quality verification, agriculture, education, municipal services, environmental sustainability, AI-assisted governance and corruption prevention. I request you to review the ideas and explore their feasibility.

To encourage every income earner to file their returns, the system should be designed keeping the least literate person in perspective. 1: Avoid categorizing the ITRs into 1,2,3,4,5 etc. Let the applicant declare through an interactive system what all kinds of income he has got. Accordingly, let the ITR with the relevant portions be made available. 2: There are frequent updates to TIS, AIS and 26AS, sometimes even in June due to delays in submission of TDS/TCS/SFT data from Establishments/Companies. This delay needs to be reduced. From 1st May, no changes to TIS/SIS/26AS are to be ensured. Let taxpayers submit their ITRs earlier than 31st July. 3: ITR-1 is already simplified enough. No changes are required. 4: But ITR-2 is quite complex. IT Dept may examine how to simplify ITR-2, by optional addition of sections based on types of income declared by applicant. 5: ITR -3 is complex even with my experience of online filing. More guidance and instructions are required.

The purpose of my submission is to share ideas that can help make India’s tax system more simple, transparent, digital, and taxpayer-friendly. As technology is becoming an important part of our daily lives, tax-related services should also become easier for every citizen to understand and use. My idea focuses on creating a system where taxpayers can easily understand their tax responsibilities, calculate their taxes, receive timely reminders, and track the status of their returns and refunds through a single digital platform. The platform could provide information in simple language and multiple Indian languages so that people from different backgrounds can access it comfortably. I also believe that tax awareness should begin at a young age. Educational institutions can introduce basic concepts of taxation, financial responsibility, and the importance of paying taxes through interactive activities and awareness programmes.

**Subject: ₹10,000 Savings Bank Interest Exemption under New Tax Regime** I respectfully request the CBDT/Ministry of Finance to consider allowing a ₹10,000 exemption for savings-bank interest under the New Tax Regime (Section 115BAC), similar to the benefit available under Section 80TTA in the Old Tax Regime. Many salaried taxpayers earn only a few hundred or thousand rupees as savings interest. Taxing this small amount can create minor residual tax liabilities despite correct salary TDS, requiring additional tax calculation/payment and increasing the risk of inadvertent mismatch with AIS/Form 26AS. A ₹10,000 threshold would simplify ITR filing, reduce minor compliance burdens and inadvertent errors, and make the New Tax Regime more consistent and taxpayer-friendly. I request the CBDT to consider this small but meaningful ease-of-compliance measure.

Dear Sir, please refer to the attached Image document for details. ITR filing process is still confusing. Many taxpayers do not understand which ITR form to choose.

Dear Sir, Please refer to the attached pdf document for detailed context of the suggestion: To address the invisibility of financial details to dependents when the sole earner passes away. Regards Nitesh Joshi

As a responsible taxpayer, I believe paying taxes should be simple, transparent, and stress-free. A single mobile app should allow taxpayers to file returns, track refunds, receive reminders, and chat with an AI assistant in simple regional languages. First-time taxpayers and senior citizens should get step-by-step guidance without needing professional help. Every taxpayer should also receive a yearly "Tax Contribution Report" showing how their taxes helped improve roads, schools, hospitals, and other public services. This will increase trust, encourage voluntary compliance, and strengthen the relationship between citizens and the government. A taxpayer-friendly system is the foundation of a stronger and more developed India.
