The Income Tax Department, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in collaboration with MyGov, invites innovative ideas and constructive suggestions from citizens, taxpayers, professionals, businesses, students, and other stakeholders to strengthen taxpayer services and contribute towards building a more transparent, efficient, and taxpayer-friendly tax administration. This participatory initiative provides a platform to share practical ideas for enhancing taxpayer awareness, simplifying compliance processes, improving digital taxpayer services, and promoting ease of compliance.

Suggestions may also focus on strengthening service delivery, leveraging emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), improving grievance redressal mechanisms, enhancing taxpayer education and outreach, and introducing innovative solutions to improve the overall taxpayer experience. Your valuable ideas will contribute towards making tax administration more accessible, technology-driven, citizen-centric, and responsive, while supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 through better public service delivery, participatory governance, and greater taxpayer trust.

The Income Tax Department can introduce an AI-powered multilingual taxpayer assistant that provides simple, step-by-step guidance for ITR filing, tax deductions, notices, refunds and compliance requirements. The assistant should support Hindi and regional languages along with English, explain complex tax terms in simple language, provide personalized reminders for important deadlines, and help taxpayers understand notices before they seek professional assistance. A centralized grievance tracking system with real-time status updates can also improve transparency and reduce delays. Such a system can make tax services more accessible, reduce compliance errors, improve taxpayer awareness and strengthen trust in the tax administration.

Respected Income Tax Department, Vanakkam from Coimbatore. My suggestions for Taxpayer First: 1) AI Chatbot in Tamil/regional languages to guide first-time taxpayers & students about ITR filing. 2) One-Click Grievance Tracking like Swiggy - SMS updates. 3) MyGov-style video tutorials in simple language for youth. 4) Reward honest taxpayers with certificate from PM - will build trust for Viksit Bharat 2047. Thank you.

Here is a National Economic Classification (NEC) Concept Proposal, which may change the way we are using PAN for and filing returns.

'Where My Tax Goes' Dashboard: After a successful ITR filing, show taxpayers a personalized infographic detailing how their tax money contributes to nation-building (e.g., infrastructure, defense, education). This builds immense civic pride and trust. & AI-Powered Multilingual Chatbot: Introduce an AI assistant on the e-filing portal and WhatsApp that answers tax queries in regional languages. This will help common citizens understand taxes without paying heavy consultant fees.

A tremendous surge in usage of UPI payments (G-pay etc) by the common man for his daily transactions for even small sums like Rs 10 or Rs 20 is a remarkable feature and also this is being recorded as taxable revenue which hitherto it could not be . There is a talk now of applying MDR on merchants who will surely pass it on to consumers. Now it is my suggestion that a surcharge of Rs 0.25 (25 paise) be levied on every UPI payment for less than Rs 100 on the user i.e. for a UPI payment of Rs 50 Rs 50.25 be debited from the bank a/c of the user . Even assuming four such payments daily by a person only Rs 1 will be debited from his a/c and monthly max Rs 30, and considering the ease and negligible amount people would not object to such levies . This will generate a colossal revenue for government where the estimated number of UPI payments are in crores of Rs daily. This removes the MDR clause and yet the government generates revenue in crores on such UPI transactions daily.

      1) Like Nordic countries, we need to remove cheque payments from the banking system. Instead, we need to keep just demand drafts and online payments. This will reduce the workload in the banking system by 30%. It will also avoid fraud transactions and cheque bouncing. Overall, it will reduce corruption in India. Hope the government will implement this soon. 2) Why do Indian banks only perform KYC every year? It's not the case worldwide. We need to stop KYC for all accounts and need to perform it only for specific accounts. This will also reduce unnecessary workload. 3) We need to start precast construction for all residential buildings.

Respected PM sir, India is developing in all sectors,I think no need to apply Income tax for all individuals as well. Applying GST in all sectors as well as income tax for Individual persons burden for them. Apply only one tax i.e; GST, one Nation one Tax. Thank you sir 🙏, kindly think about above sir.

Resp.sir, Remove all taxes, such as gst, fire noc, professional tax, property tax, stamp duties, toll tax, traffic challans, licence fees, all govt fees, kindly remove all taxes and levies except income tax. Because all this makes inflation, costly items, reducing purchase power of us poor. Need to reduce Dependency on govt. Kindly administrate defence forces and roads. That would be enough from govt. Rest of we manage ourselves.
