To protect public interest, all commercials irrespective of thru which media it publishes should comply certain criteria. Else the owner of the advertisement as well as the publisher must be penalized.

As we have a sensor board for Cinemas, we need to establish a board (instead of ASCI which does not cover Ads-reality)to check the content before broadcasting. And the Board should have well qualified resource person or they can affiliate with any leading institutes like IIT, IIM etc to check for the trustworthiness of the product being advertised. By doing this, the people will get right message from the product promoter and the government indirectly endorse the genuinity of the product.

All the citizens must be able file a complaint on those companies.these companies must be fined heavily.involvement of politicians in this case must be avoided so that all will come forward to file a complaint.seal off the company at least for one month.arrest those company heads and bring them in front of media so that other advertisers stop this.establish a special committee to check the advertisement before it is telecasted.

Sirs, Our law should allow consumers sue celebrity advertisers appearing in various media to claim compensation. Further, we should make law that OEMs must have buy back arrangements of their product particularly consumer durables after its economic life to avoid consumers dumping the residual products elsewhere. This will also be a step towards our Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Thanks

Most people are interested in new products because of the person recommending it.when a product is recommended by HEMA MALINI or AMITABH BACHHAN it carries their reputation also therefore people advertising or recommending must be made responsible for the quality of product also .as they are getting endorsement fees it becomes their duty also not to recommend spurious products. If this is done then celebrities will not endorse technologically poor products and consumers will be saved .

Happy to see open forum for Misleading Advertisements. I would urge if we could include the religion advertisements (ie. Hanuman lockets / laxmi yantra) which are been played on various channels as it is playing with sentiments of people. Kindly consider the same as well in it.
