To encourage JAN BHAGIDARI and to make the procedure of budget formation transparent, the Union Ministry of Finance has decided to invite suggestions for Union Budget 2017-18. As you may recall, this has been a regular feature on MyGov for the last two years.

Citizen from all walks of life are welcome to be a part of the budget making process. You can submit your suggestions either directly in the comments box or attach a PDF document.

Last year we had an overwhelming response with over 40,000+ suggestions for Union/ Railway budget. Several of the suggestions received on MyGov were incorporated in the last year’s budget. To know more about these, click here.

We seek your valuable ideas to continue the tradition of the Union Budget incorporating the citizens’ aspirations. The last date for submissions on this forum is 20th January, 2017.

All Types of Rental Incomes viz house / Shop or other should be acounted through cheques or NEFT/ECS. No cash payment should be allowed in this Head. This is a big Head for unaccounted income.

To Motivate the Digital Transactions government should do the following : 1. In Phasewise make the Card Swapping machines mandatory at all shops and Industries. In Phase 1 4 Metros should be targeted till say 30.04.2017 or 30.06.2017. In Phase 2 All cities above 10 Lakhs should be done by 30.09.2017 or 31.12.2017. In Phase 3 and subsequent phases these should be extended to all cities 2. A Coloumn should be added in Tax Returns of all the Firms - How much money collected through swapping mach

I have only one suggestion that can transform the entire tax scenario. 0.01%, 0.02%, 0.03% or 0.1%, 0.2%, 0.3% kind of token TDS should be introduced on all immovable assets purchased/sold so that all of them can be brought within the ambit of Tax. For non-compliance entire amount should be disallowed.

Firstly, I would you like to thank government for asking suggestions. Below are my suggestions 1.Consider Niti Aayog's proposal on single taxation system - Using Bank transactions and remove Income tax 2. 26 weeks Maternity leave for women. 3. Income tax slabs should be revisited, since many years they have not been modified . 4. Other taxation should be simplified, as every one knows a due to many indirect taxes - ppl end up paying high cumulative taxes

We were 30% slab tax payers and highly technical sr. Professionals like GM,VP, CEO. Now a days jobless. Can Government refund taxes for ourselves untill we employed. Please have few budget.

IT dept has to complete his task with limited staff. If work of one segment (where revenue is comparatively less)is reduced, in that case, available work force can be diverted to on more revenue generated segment. Increase income Tax limit from 2.5 lacs to 5 lacs. Spare work force can microscopically examine the AGRICULTURE income* ( perpendicularly those who has other source of income)in that case, Govt can collect more income. * More than 4 lacs.

मा.मोदीजी, सेना,सशस्त्र बल, पुलिस, सुरक्षा संस्थाये, इत्यादी को छोडकर किसी भी व्यक्ती को हाथीयार,शस्त्र रखने कीं इजाजत ना हो और वर्तमान में जारी सभी लायसन्स तत्काल प्रभाव से रद्द किये जाये, क्योकि सुरक्षा कीं दुहाई देकर लायसन लेकर दूसरो पर प्रभाव और रौब झाडा जाता है। हाथीयार रखने और धमकाने वालो पर कठोर से कठोर कानून हो। उससे अपराध में कमी आयेगी और सुरक्षा का माहोल पैदा। धिरज बजाज,9421832444

Please remove toll charges for local residents or ask the concerned authorities to make the monthly pass renewal online. It is inconvenient for local residents to renew these toll cards every month. In addition, we anyway pay all the RTO tax while buying the vehicle but still have to pay the toll charges on the road within 5 km of our home. Please do something about it. Thank you.
