Ministry of Electronics and IT has drafted a Data Centre policy to benefit the Data Centre park developers/Data Centre operators as well as the allied ecosystem of the Data Centre sector. The policy envisages making India a Global Data Centre hub, promote investment in the sector, propel digital economy growth, enable provisioning of trusted hosting infrastructure to fulfill the growing demand of the country and facilitate state of the art service delivery to citizens. This document lays out a policy framework including various structural / regulatory interventions, investment promotion in the sector, possible Incentivization mechanisms along with the institutional mechanism required for the governance. The policy framework also seeks to strengthen the recently announced “AatmaNirbhar Bharat” initiative by identifying possible opportunities of manufacturing of Data Centre equipment (IT as well as non-IT) in the country. It also identifies possible areas of participation by MSMEs and Start-ups.

The policy intends to ensure sustainable and trusted Data Centre capacity within the country. This policy framework shall be followed by a detailed scheme with implementation guideline document providing the particulars of various fiscal and non-fiscal incentives to be provided to the sector by the Central and State Government.

For the same, Ministry of Electronics and IT invites citizen suggestions on the Draft Data Center Policy 2020.
Refer to the Policy document here : Draft Data Center Policy 2020

Data center, data base, cloud computing & storage to certain extent be within our country. We should create 100% Indian clouds with our servers. To be sure not to get paralyzed like covid 19. We will have privacy of what we are doing. Other countries might steal our information for their advantage. When business competition, economy is improving outside forces would like to understand our projections for better strategy. Aatmanirbhar will be stronger by protecting our data.

Already we had lot of opportunities after India entered WTO . Data is more valuable than Gold . Before we start 5G we should have enough infra and software to block data transfer from moving out side India . Because with in fraction of a sec unimaginable amount of data can be transferred out side india which will have serious implication on all fronts of a Nation . Defence , Security , economy , education and research ....every thing is linked to data, a country can be controlled by Data theft

By using the data we can know who is buying what why when how much at what rate.. there are so many parameters which are critical to run a Business in this digital world . Any small data of an individual is useful for Business/Companies if we allow the data to move out side India then we are Indirectly making local Business/Companies suffer a lot because Western World/ Chain are using each and every data of Indian's to make products in right quantity, price which is unfair to Indian business.

We need to refer how USA , EU , UK , China have there policy on how they treat companies of our nation or other nations . We should also give the similar treatment to them . Who ever are doing business in India they should not take our Indians citizens data out side India with out any exceptions . All IT professional know that with out Data there is no analytics , with out analytics there is no AI ... As our PM Modi Ji said Data is Gold ..Why we should allow data gold to go out side India.

Interest rates are changing quarterly and each time going down and down . It became very hard to manage who depends on interest income only. We respect born of girl child and frame the scheme named Sukanya samrudhi, the interest of the scheme should go up and never downwards, only then it is real motto of the scheme. Likewise the scheme should be formed for boy child too, so parents will be attracted to save for higher studies of their son.

Most of the policies announced are sound and overdue. However, these are being announced without enough explanation as well as being implemented in a hurry, leaving many grey areas in comprehension by the public. This is being exploited by the opposition parties and other vested interests. Current kissan rally, earlier CAA and more are live examples. Suitable measures are strongly recommended. Secondly, the Defence budget needs beefing up to meet its requisites w/o slashing the current provisions
