The Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee (CPCC), U.T, Chandigarh has taken serious cognizance of the increasing pollution levels in the airs of the city. Pollution occurs in many forms including Air, Water, Soil & Noise pollution.

The CPCC has expressed serious concern over the contamination of the overall environment as the sources of pollution don't simply have a negative impact on the natural world, but also have a measurable effect on the health of human beings also.

In this direction, the Chandigarh Pollution Control Committee has decided to engage the citizens of the city for their invaluable suggestions/ideas/opinions/practical solutions to put a check on increasing levels of all types of pollution in Chandigarh.

The CPCC hereby appeals to the city residents to participate in huge number in order to equip the CPCC with more and more innovative and practical solutions/ideas (which are implementable) to curb the problems arising out of different kind of pollution.

My suggestions for controlling pollution are as follows : 1.Diesel vehicles above 15 years must be banned. 2.Convert all buses into electric buses under an initiative by central government. 3.Upgrade to Bharat stage 5/6 fuel as soon as possible. 4.High fines for burning anything. 5.Bring in technology from Nitin Gadakari ji to convert food waste into bio cng. 6.Regarding water pollution ban dumping of waste into water bodies. 7.Use technology to capture methane gas from sewage water

1)The use of plastic/plythene covers should be avoided. 2)Bus stations should be kept cleen. 3)Vehicles both two and four wheelers emitting smoke should be banned. 4)Industrial waste should be diverted to forest area where no water source gets mingled with the waste. It should be left in vast vacant areas so that it gets dried up.5)Sounding horn should be controlled by delcaring many no sound horn areas and roads.6)Commercial marriage dances should be allowed with only low sound. 7)sign boards

Dear Sir, We have high noise pollution level specially in cities and one of the reason is motor vehicles blowing their horns ,mostly for no reason. To cut down noise pollution I suggest the following: All motor vehicles , mostly four wheelers have two horns. My car Honda Amaze was supplied with one horn, hopefully for cost reduction but it reduces noise also since it has one horn only if it is absolutely necessary to blow. Why not pass orders that all motor vehicles will have only one horn

Since independence the rail network has improved by just 10%.So the need is to increase railway route/network instead of trains.
