In addition to meeting food demand our villages can efficiently produce Electricity & Fuels from non food biomass currently wasted using solar energy. Our less privileged people can get work in a market which much bigger than food. Profitability of farm sector will be improved due combined income of food, bio fuels & solar. Imagine the cascading economic effect of replacing Forex outflow from middle east countries to our workers homes. We should aim to get freedom from petroleum & energy import.

Skill development starts early. In past certain skills used to be carried forward in families over generations. Need today is to recognize, evaluate, respect, use and pay for the skills which people have and can develop. Government can institute centralized competitions, awards and certifications to encourage skill development starting at primary, middle, secondary and senior secondary school levels, college levels and even open competitions for uneducated youth.

Introduce vocational learning into school curriculum (at board level). Reduce theoretical subjects for classes 10, 11 and 12 from present 5 or 6 to only 3. One language and 2 subjects (like maths, economics etc.) based on students choice. Substitute the rest of the subjects with vocational learning like carpentry, graphic design, electronic repair etc. This would make students out of high school readily employable at the age of 18. Also, it serves as incentive for poor students complete school.

Skill development and job opportunity needs to go hand in hand...also lower paying or old skill school job has to be equally respected and be allowed to share a dream to be part of future India. We need schools to have mandatory curriculum to include alternate skills and should have minimum percentage of students enrolled in non-conventional courses with additional incentives to be part of international exchange and fellowship programs....Lets start by sharing career stories and related jobs

In order to develop the skill sets among people we must focus on the primary schooling system. The education system today focusing on just scoring marks rather than developing skills. Primarily we need to uplift the skill sets from rural people by developing the skills along with schooling. Speaking skills, communication skills, problem solving decision making skills are three major area to be focused. Besides lessons & subjects teachers must equips students to enhance the skills .

It is so difficult to register with National Skill Development Corporation. The process is complex, complicated and seems to be designed to benefit only a few well connected. Please simplify the process that allows some good trained people to be a part of it. Only big, capital rich, politically connected organisations seem to be minting money by providing low quality skills training that is useless and outdated.
