The country is well endowed with many metallic and non-metallic mineral resources.  India is a leading player in respect of many non fuel minerals including, iron ore, bauxite, dolomite, lime stone and mica.  Mining sector (non-fuel) currently accounts for approx 0.5% of GDP.  For accelerated economic growth on sustainable basis, this sector has to grow at a much faster pace to secure   a higher percentage in the GDP.

Scientific, sustainable and transparent mining practices require well trained manpower.  Skill development not only enhances productivity and safety at work place, but more importantly, it prepares the manpower to adapt to the new state of art technologies. Currently this sector employs around 0.2 Million workforce which is estimated to grow to 0.3 Million in next 10 years.

Let us track expenditures - purchase of luxury cars, homes, jewellery, foreign travel, etc. should be allowed only with PAN no. and the amount of expenditure should be tallied against reported sources of Income - should be applicable for all - without exception. This will help to curb tax evasion and bring black money to light.

Skill Development training for mining workers should be undertaken by Private sector, reason is their systematized pattern of work and sincerity but is found lacking in govt authorities. By this even mining workers will be exposed to latest and upcoming strategies adopted by other sectors.

In the mining sector skill development should be organized thru systematic training for the lower operational level people using modern tools and the same could be arranged with the help of countries like Australia , advanced in this field.

For effective implementation of clean India , what is required is scientifically developed , easily implementable at the common man level, household garbage management system. Already models are available in some of the developed countries, particularly as in California , USA. While in India I am not able to get ready made composting bin, I could see in Home Depot in US, ready made , rotatable bins, easy to operate. Let us have systems both at macro and micro levels,

Dear Sir, as like clean India movement why can't we take green India movement by involving all the citizens of our country to plant a minimum of 5 trees per person per year and encourage them to to grow in the places available nearer to them and make India Green and Clean and save our environment and eco system. Hope you will conceive a good idea to make our country green. Thank you.
