You go at some EV charging station on highway and find there is no power at EV charging station. What would you do ? Wait for power to come and then start charging when your turn comes. Or expect that charging station shall have power back up like DG set.
Now, charging EV with DG sets is not at all carbon neutral.
Considering the availability of power in non metro cities and on highways, EVs have no advantage as far as reduing carbon footprint is concerned.
We have to keep in mind that most of the eateries or hotels on highways use DG sets.
In present day scenario, development of EVs can help in upgradation of auto sector having biggest non white collar job creation potential.
However, we can think of adapting hybrid technology. This can be somewhat more successful than full EV.

Indian EV segments have been educating the public about the benefits of electric vehicles. There are ample advantages, like low-cost maintenance, budget-friendly, and value for money. Today, many Indian automakers are coming up with EV models to sustain the growing automobile industry.
Recently, the Delhi government launched a campaign known as the "Switch Delhi Campaign." This campaign was imposed to increase the zero-emission uptake of vehicles.
This campaign helped many people switch from normal conventional vehicles to electric vehicles. People have begun to pay more attention to the environment and, as a result, are taking steps to ensure a clean and green future.

Most people today believe that EV cars are not sustainable and durable under the current Indian scenario. In recent times, the Indian government has come up with multiple schemes regarding the development of EV segments in the nation. There are various subsidiaries based on the governments of the various states.
