Making one person in every family digitally literate is one of the integral components of the Prime Minister’s vision of a ‘Digital India’. National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) envisages provision of digital literacy training to 52.5 Lakh persons, one in every eligible household of the country. Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers and authorized ration dealers have also been included in this scheme. The objective is to impart basic ICT skills which would enable the citizen to use IT and related applications and participate actively in the democratic process and further enhance opportunities for their livelihood.

Kindly share your thoughts to promote National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) scheme to educate digitally illiterate, and help in this mission to reduce digital divide at the rural areas and at the grass-root level.

To know more about the scheme, kindly log-on to National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) or Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) scheme website www.ndlm.in

MyOpinion4: Generation of huge jobs or educated citizen is not enough but engage our illiterate citizen with entrepreneur schemes is also highly recommended for actual growth of our nation. This will help us to become more self-dependent like our neighboring China.Use of unconventional energy source must be emphasized by Govt. through its relevant agencies to reduce burden on use of conventional energy source. Time to time review by expert committee will restrict misuse of such scheme.

Before implementing Digital India, I request our respected PM to ensure livelihood and better education. But the existing schemes like free education up to 7th standard won't help common people. But extend helping hand from Govt. to those poor children for whole career depending on their performance. It will not only help them to identify words but to choose a bright career which are generally stuck due to monetary problem.

My Opinion 2: What is the goal of Digital India? If we gone thoroughly, it provide each and every citizen of India a digital infrastructure utility along with e-governance. But the problem with such infrastructure is electricity.Government also encourage use of solar power instead of convention energy source. But still problem prevails as these are not free of cost for poor village peoples. I am a witness of such a pilot project done under a Govt. organization by a foreign company but fails.

My Opinion 1:- Government initiative to introduce any Govt. schemes through its own server just link it to Google search with secure and reliable connectivity. As such tiny data of each country directly related to live policy like job etc.,is not possible to for any organization until and unless the Govt. itself organizes such activity.

At present the most convenient site to get news including Govt.Press releases is google news. But the problem is google only picks selective news/information from selective media house and not all. Hence most of govt. announcement remains unreachable to the general public. If Govt. launch a centralized web-site where all Govt. Press release, Vacancies, Tenders etc etc. made available. It will be very convenient for the net users as well as it will promote people to use digital world. Thank

Sir, Please appoint Mr. Pranay Mistry, Global VP Samsung, on Digital India Mission and he will resolve all the hurdles. I can say this based upon my extensive experience into IT. My second suggestion is that kindly make taxation rational for new entrepreneurs, it seems big hurdle for new comers to have same taxation system for all. (may be my knowledge is limited on this) Thanks.
