Handloom and textile industry are important jewels of our country, one of the sectors for which india is famous worldwide. The beautiful designs and wide range variety adds on to its fame. It not only boost the economic sector of our country but also plays an important role in eradicating rural unemployment by giving self-employed jobs to our skilled rural women. Seeing the traditional handloom products one can relate to his/her culture, tradition and identity. Tribute to Gandhiji's "CHARKHA".

Pongal is a four-day-long harvest festival celebrated in Tamil Nadu, which falls in the month of Thai (that is, the January-February season) when crops like rice, sugarcane, turmeric etc. ... The term 'pongal' in Tamil means "to boil", and this festival is celebrated as a thanksgiving ceremony for the year's harvest.
