"An educated mother is equal to 100 teachers" child is always learning from the environment in which his upbringing is been done and most the family a child is always close to mother. If a girl get educated who is going to be a mother one day the be able to help the child in better upbringing. If the new generation get proper direction it lead the country to build a better economy and also to develop better ideas for innovation. The great examples is Thomas Alva Edison who introduce the bulb.

I have started a campaign to change male attitudes and treatment of women in India. Talk is cheap; we need action. Take the pledge and join the campaign: http://men4womensrights.org/ India will never become a superpower unless our women are respected and equal.

Son & Daughter are like two eyes of the parents, each one as important as other. Lets treat them as equal. Especially when there is some element of disparity shown towards our Beti by certain section of our society, its very essential that we root out this skewed way of thinking right from the roots. Its should be our endevour to eliminate fear from the mind of our Beti so that they can express themselves freely & with courage. Its also our duty to educate our Sons to treat them as equals.

I think all the discussions about female discrimination and how it should be removed, should start from our own homes and hearths. Being a teacher, I have worked in remote areas of West Bengal and I have seen how the discrimination against females is deeply embedded in each and every household. Just mere schooling and tutorials, or governmental initiatives cannot help altogether, if the charity does not begin at home.
