Bamboo has been the lifeline of rural India since time immemorial. With the passage of time and development of technologies leading to new usage, the 'green gold' has turned into a potential game changer for rural economy - for the farmer and industry equally.

With this background and number of progressive measures including the amendment of the Indian Forest Act to remove bamboo outside forests from the definition of 'trees', the restructured National Bamboo Mission (NBM) was launched in 2018-19 for the development of complete value chain of bamboo sector linking growers (farmers) with industry starting from raising quality planting material, plantation, creation of facilities for collection, aggregation, processing, micro, small & medium enterprises, skill development and brand building initiative in a cluster approach mode.

‘National Bamboo Mission’ invites farmers, entrepreneurs, researchers, bamboo-based industry to send in their experiences, innovations, and good practices adopted for increased productivity, strengthen supply of raw material to industry, products in sync with contemporary markets, REPLACE SINGLE USE PLASTICS, new age construction, and other sunrise uses.

उत्पादकता में बढत, कठिन श्रम में कमी एवं बाँसों की बर्बादी में कमी की जा सके। इन विकास कार्यो ने, विभिन्न क्षेत्रों जैसे बागबानी, पशुधन, मत्स्य पालन में, बाँस के उपयोग की संभावनाएँ बढ़ाई है। इसका उपयोग फसल वास्तुकला, भंडारण संरचनाओं, आवास, मत्स्य पालन संरचनाएं, मछली जाल, मछली बीजों, बाँस की बनी वस्तुओं का ग्रामीण स्तर पर उत्पादन रोज़गार एवं अच्छे आय का माध्यम बन सकती है।

बाँस के अभिनव उत्पादों की लगातार हो रही खोज के कारण इसकी आर्थिक क्षमता बहुत अधिक है। बाँस की प्राकृतिक सुदंरता के कारण इसकी माँग सौदर्य एवं डिजाइन की दुनिया में तेजी से बढ़ रही है। इसके अतिरिक्त ऐसी कई नवीनतम् प्रोद्योगिकियों का विकास हुआ है जिससे लकड़ी के उपयोग को बाँस के द्वारा प्रतिस्थापित किया जा सके।

On my 4 year period in eastern India, I was mesmerised to see how bamboo can be flexed into many products. Sheets, baskets, instruments, machines.

दोस्तो बांस को कहते है कि जलाना नही चाहिए । उदाहरण - जब किसी व्यक्ति की मृतु हो जाती है तो जिरु बैकुंठी पर मृतक व्यक्ति को ले जाते है वह बैकुंठी भी बांस की बनी होती है। उसे जलाया नही जाता बल्कि बैंकुठी पर जो मृत्तक व्यक्ति है, उसे उठाकर चित्ता पर रखा जाता है। कहने का तात्पर्य बांस चाहे पूजा की अगरक्ती के रूप में हो या बैंकुठी के रूप में हिन्दू धर्म में बांस को जलाया नहीं जाता । यह सुब मैने अपने आस पास के पुजारियों द्वारा सुना है।

दोस्तो हमारी हिन्दू संस्कृति में बांस की जलाया नहीं जाता । हमारे हिन्दू धर्म के पुजारियों की मानें तो पूजा में अगरबती का प्रयोग वर्जित माना गया है ' क्योंकि अगरबती को बनाने में बांस का प्रयोग मुरल रूप से किया जाता है। हालांकि अब कुछ ऐसी अगरबती ली मार्किट में उपलब्ध है, जिनमे बांस का प्रयोग नहीं होता

दोस्तों बांस जब बहुत छोटे होते है तो उसकी सब्जी बनाकर खाई जा सकती है। छोटे छोटे बांस जो कच्चे होते है उन्हे छोटे छोटे टुकड़ो में काटकर उन्हे 20 से25 मिनट तक पानी में उबाला जाता है। तथा उसकी सब्जी बनाई जाती है। यहा तक की बांसु का अचार तथा मुरब्बा भी बनाया जाता है। जो कई रोगो में फायदा करता है।

Dear sir. This subject has not received the interest of urban area . The subject belong to rural areas These people should got involved in the production of bamboo in their fields & near the forests of the village . Educate through state govt to adopt this trade which was going to be the boom only some effort.

Respected Prime Minister Sir, I learnt that An extraordinary example of bamboo's resilience is the fact that it was the only plant to survive the radiation of the atomic bombings in Hiroshima, Japan in 1945. The incinerating heat destroyed all trees and other plant life, except for one bamboo grove. The grove has since been removed, but culms from the grove are preserved in a museum in Hiroshima.
