In the latest episode of Mann Ki Baat on 27th September 2020, Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi spoke about the art of storytelling. He mentioned that the history of stories is as ancient as the human civilization itself. ‘Where there is a soul, there is a story’.

As we are going to celebrate 75 years of independence, Prime Minister urged storytellers across the Nation to share stories of many inspiring events during the entire period of our enslavement. Especially, from 1857 to 1947, stories around every major or minor incident during this period can be introduced to our new generation.

“May this art of storytelling become stronger in the country, become more popularized and easier to imbibe - this is something we must all strive for”: PM Narendra Modi

Do you know of any inspiring event during the 1857-1947 freedom struggle that isn’t so well known? Maybe a long-forgotten hero who did not get as much prominence as he/she deserved? Maybe an incident which played a minor but important role in our struggle? A story you might have heard from a family elder, many years ago?

Tell us, we will feature your story for all Indians!

Share your story in the form of a video, audio clip, picture or essay.

There was a boy name, Shri Ram, during the freedom fight, one day when the British beaten the Indians so badly in the rally, the boy fainted out but did not drop down the National flag, when he was admitted to the hospital a piece of Tiranga was in the mouth as he held the flag from falling down with the teeth to support. Such was his dedication & love for India. For his immense struggle, he was titled as 'Shri Ram Matt'. The moral of the story is we must serve the nation as Nation is first

Instead of routine and vague TV serials , there should be a grand EPIC like Ramayana and Mahabharata. It may be " THE GREAT INDIAN FREEDOM STRUGLE Series , which must be telecast at prime time and well known team of Directors should produce it. It will be definitely inspire our young generation to love our beautiful country and they will come to know , how we have got freedom and why we have to maintain it.
