Innovative ideas on circular economy in E-waste

Today, electronic waste poses a significant challenge for society. With the introduction of innovative features and up-gradation, people are changing their devices by discarding the old ones, thereby contributing to the generation of electronic waste significantly.

Replacing the linear systems with circular in electrical and electronic equipment intends to maximize value at each life-cycle stage by reusing, repairing, recovering remanufacturing, regenerating products and material.

Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2022 from 1st February 2022 to 15th February 2022 promoting ‘E-waste se Raksha- Swachhata hi Suraksha’. Citizens are invited to share their innovative ideas on how circular economy practices can help in sustainable and efficient E-waste Management.

The best entries from the citizens will be identified by the Ministry and will be featured on the MyGov page.

The last date to receive suggestions is 15th February 2022.

इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कचरा हमारे देश के लिए एक बड़ी चुनौती है। 1. इस समस्या को हल करने का सबसे अच्छा तरीका इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कचरे का पुनर्चक्रण है। 2. इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उत्पादों पर निर्भरता कम से कम और स्थिति के अनुसार होनी चाहिए। 3. इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उत्पादों का बहु-उपयोग ई-कचरे पर नियंत्रण करने का एक तरीका है। 4. इलेक्ट्रॉनिक उत्पादों के उत्पादन के लिए हरित प्रौद्योगिकी का उपयोग किया जाना चाहिए।

ई-कचरे के समुचित उपयोग के लिए मेरे पास कुछ बिंदु हैं, वे सभी नीचे दिए गए हैं: - 1. लोगों को ई-कचरे के पुनर्चक्रण के बारे में जागरूक करने के लिए जागरूकता शिविर का आयोजन किया जाए। 2. स्कूल/कॉलेज में शहर/राज्य स्तर पर आयोजित एक प्रतियोगिता जो ई-कचरे के पुनर्चक्रण या ई-कचरे द्वारा उत्पाद बनाने के बारे में है (उस प्रतियोगिता में एक मूल्य राशि या प्रमाण पत्र शामिल किया जाना चाहिए) और निश्चित रूप से हमें बहुत रचनात्मक विचार मिलेंगे हमारी युवा पीढ़ी से। 3. सरकार छात्रों से नवीन विचार प्राप्त करने के लिए घर/उद्योग स्तर से ई-कचरा एकत्र करने और स्कूल/कॉलेज/संस्थान में वितरण करने की सुविधा देती है। 4. ई-कचरे के पुनर्चक्रण और ई-कचरे से उत्पाद बनाने के बारे में प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन। 5. एक उचित ई-कचरा पुनर्चक्रण प्रणाली विकसित की जानी चाहिए। 6. एक उद्योग विकसित किया जाना चाहिए जो ई-कचरे द्वारा नवीनीकृत उत्पाद बनाते हैं।

ई-कचरे के समुचित उपयोग के लिए मेरे पास कुछ बिंदु हैं, वे सभी नीचे दिए गए हैं: - 1. हमें ऐसा उद्योग खोलना चाहिए जो ई-कचरे पर काम करे इससे बेरोजगारों को भी काम मिलेगा और ई-कचरे का भी दोबारा इस्तेमाल होगा। 2. हमें एक सरकारी वाहन भी शुरू करना चाहिए जो रोजाना लोगों के पास जा सके और उनका ई-कचरा इकट्ठा कर सके। 3. दुकान या गोदाम बनाना जिसमें लोग अपना ई-कचरा आसानी से बेच सकें 4. हमें ई-कचरे से बनी चीजों का ज्यादा से ज्यादा इस्तेमाल करना चाहिए। 5. लोगों को ई-कचरे से कुछ उपयोगी चीजें बनाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करें 6. एक ऐसा ऐप बनाना जिसमें लोग अपना पुराना और इस्तेमाल न किया हुआ इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स कचरा बेचकर पैसे कमाएं

We use stringent procedures to ensure that the e-waste is handled with care. 1. e-Waste Collection and Transportation 2. Sorting and Shredding if required 3. Categorizing into core materials and components 4. Dust Extraction and Magnetic separation 5. Preparing the recycled materials for sale.

E-Waste management process should includes the following: 1. Collection: gathering e-waste from various sources, enterprises, organizations and individuals. 2. Dismantling: Disintegration of all the components and materials of the e-waste to analyse which can be reused and which can go as scrap. 3. Data Sanitization: ensuring that data is rendered unusable or is completely wiped out to ensure it cannot be retrieved in any possible way. 4. Recycling: complete segregation of parts and materials that is then used to build new electronic products. 5. Refurbishing: reuse of the working, good quality products to replace parts and extend the life of other electronic equipment.

E-Waste management seeks to recover and process the electronic waste and recycle or refurbish it to make it useful. But, electronic recycling can be challenging especially because these devices are sophisticated and manufactured from varying proportions of glass, metals and plastics. Depending on the type of electronics, the process for recycling or refurbishing may change.

The best way for E-Waste is to use triple R - RRR 1. Reduce: We are using more and more devices and replacing them more often. Changing this habit depends as much on the consumer — who should be less susceptible to marketing strategies that encourage consumption — as on manufacturers who are increasingly adopting policies like ecodesign. 2. Reuse: The experts in electronic recycling recommend that friends or family inherit devices that still work, or that they be offered on the second hand market. There is also the possibility of donating them to specialised charities. 3. Recycle: When the item no longer works and there is no chance of it being used by someone close, recycling should be the option. One option for the consumer is to hand the old device in to the shop where the new one is being purchased, or to some company that specialises in electronic refurbishment.

Dear all, Topic that we discuss here is Circular Economy in E-Waste , Collection which recycling recovers valuable materials from electronics that can be used to make new products. As a result, we save energy, reduce pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save natural resources by extracting raw materials from the earth. E- Waste collection to be handled properly by well maintained management . E-waste recycling creates new jobs for professional recyclers and creates a second market for the recycled materials. Advantages and backing from E-Waste Portrays that gathering of e waste and deal into Koran based organization . It assist us with expanding our economy and the cash is utilized to spend for kids trainings .

we should not use plastic thinga because it pollutes and is harmful for all living organisms. we should recycle plastics and should make compost of vegetables piles or of dry leaves .
