The Govt. of India in coordination with certain State Govts. should set up state of the art garbage treatment plants of mega capacity as it will true homage to Bapu by ushering in Swachh Bharat in the true sense. These plants should be having the capacity to recycle garbage and in this regard, the example of the Garbage Treatment Plant at Saligaon in Goa can be considered.

A major tree plantation drive should be held across the nation starting from 15 August and culminating on 2 October. A specific target of trees should be set (at least 1 crore) and the Hon'ble President and Prime Minister should commence the drive on 15 August. Each tree should be fixed with RFID tags/ any other mechanism to ensure that these trees survive and are taken care of after planting them

The Govt. of India under the aegis of Union Culture Ministry or Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) can establish Gandhi Study Chairs to propagate Gandhian thought. These Chairs should be funded by the Govt. of India and should invite scholars of international repute. These Chairs should be set up in major foreign Universities and Institutions like the Cambridge University (UK), Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (USA), etc.- at least one Gandhi Chair per continent.

In the schools,a competition should be organized on the life character of gandhiji,so that children are awake to them.children who get selected at the schools level will be given competition later at districts state and national levels and organize an exhibition in the park of cities and town etc.on the life character of mahatma gandhi,so that we proceed with the teaching given by them

To celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, India Post should a set of commemorative postage stamps (in form of Miniature Sheet) depicting the major movements led by Gandhi (Champaran to Quit India) and it would be advisable that the postage stamps are in form of a Joint Release with UN Postal Agency. Further, the Union Ministry of Culture can organise an international seminar on themes of Ahimsa, Peace, Gandhian studies etc. under the aegis of Gandhi Smriti, New Delhi.
