In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

THE DEFAULTERS OF BANKS WHO RUN AWAY FROM THE COUNTRY SHOULD BE CLASSIFED AS "FINANCIAL TERRORISTS" AS THEY LEAVE BEHIND A HUGE NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE COUNTRY'S ECONOMY AND MAKE THE AUTHORITIES FEEL HELPLESS ..OUR COUNTRY SHOULD MAKE PACTS WITH OTHER COUNTRIES TO GET SUCH DEFAULTERS EXTRADITED WITHOUT ANY STRINGS ATTACHED ..THE PROPERTY OF SUCH DEFAULTERS AND ALSO OF THEIR HEIRS , INCLUDING THEIR BENAMI ASSETS SHOULD BE USED TO FULFIL THE DEAFULTED AMOUNTS

see postal dept; never adopts evolution of technology; when i approached for Postal life insurance maturity, postal dept bluntly refused for e payment; they say that only cheque would be issued. how primitive is the approach. when e payments such as payment for LPG refill using any credit card, the transaction costs more than the benefit accrued; this deters e payment for LPG refill cost. in petrol bunk, when fuel filled is less than say Rs 400/ and e payment is opted, the e payment costs.

IT IS A WELCOME MOVE TO HAVE A TAB ON RS.50 CR AND ABOVE LOANS BY PROCURING PASSPORT DETAILS FROM LOANEES...I SUGGEST THAT GOVERNMENT, IN TANDEM WITH BANKS AND AUTHORITIES LIKE PASSPORT OFFICE / ENFORCEMENT DIRECTORATE ETC., SHOULD DEVELOP A SOFTWARE, WHEREBY, FROM DAY ONE WHEN AN ACCOUNT BECOMES NPA, AN ALERT IS SENT TO ALL CONCERNED AUTHORITIES..WITH THIS ALERT, THE DEFAULTER SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO TRAVEL AND RUN AWAY FROM COUNTRY..

For reducing corruption RTI should be implemented such that end user will able to use it effectively. The power should given to public rather than political candidates.EDUCATION:With the help of education we can reduce corruption. According to a survey the least corrupt state is Kerala, because of Kerala has literacy rate is highest in India. It is due to unawareness in the field of law, public rights and procedures thereof that a common and an uneducated suffer out of the corrupt society.

Need to simplify the process to suit the less literate people friendly environment and also need to include all the procedures and compliances related to general matters in the education courses. For example, in case of marriage registration, there is requirement of signing of local MC,MLA etc. what is this for. if we are providing other relevant documents then why complicating the procedure specially for cases where the signing authority do not know the person wants to register.

Salary must be paid through bank name. I know an employer who paid one thousand cash less and evaded tax. Digital payment can prevent such fraud.
