In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

Hello PM Sir, Post Office in India is so Big organization but still we don't have a good website where there account holders can check there accounts. Senior Citizens still have to go to Post offices and stand in Long Queues . This also goes against Digital India campaign. I think its high time work should be done on this and it will benefit all the Indians

There should be secret task force who keeps watch on every departments of government whether it is state or union and facilitate the public to report any fraud or corruption complaint anonymously via e-mail or through other media. The task force should have the right to inquire and file a case against culprit whether it is a public employer or government official. CCTV should be installed at every government office. Give award to those who report for corruption if claim will be true. #MyGov

The only way we can reduce corruption is by making our system 100% transparent. I would suggest the use of blockchain in financial process of government bodies, a blockchain in which all wings of government are having a platform like bitcoin to make the transaction between them and outside government workers, this will show the amount of transaction and their value to everyone who wants to check it, I am also trying to develop a blockchain like that which has no transaction fee.

if our constitution gives us fundamental rights so we have fundamental duties also. If we are aware about our responsibilities towards our nation so these kind of things like corruption, exploitation will never happen in future. Its not just about the government but its all about us. what kind of india we want live in is our choice. there are policies against corruption in abundance but the thing is we have to be aware..just aware.

Using technology is one if the best ways we can deal with corruption. With the aid of techonlogy we can take away discretionary powers from certain individuals and make a centralized system. For example, Income Tax- Earlier when the income tax officers had alot of discretionary powers, they could easily harass people and collect bribes. The new centralized online system prevents such harassnent and makes it easier for us to pay income tax or other taxes. So its our duty to be updated with technology
