In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

I thank the Govt led by our strong and visionary PM for reducing corruption through systematic reforms using technology. But the level of corruption the common men face in police stations, lower judiciary, revenue offices, banks and competitive exams and interviews continue to be as usual. Unless common men realises reduction in corruption in their daily life, the perceived reduction in corruption means nothing. PM sir, plz do something against repeated paper leaks to avoid big stir by students.

by linking Aadhar card with pan card, bank account, driving license etc. There should be some software which should check or track everyone's total expenditure and match the data with bank account details.

Ongoing protests of SSC candidates against the corruption in competitive exams is a grim reminder how some influential people are cheating the young students. Today, in Bihar, students protesting paper leak of sub-inspector exam were brutally beaten by police. Such instances of paper leak has become regular. Failure of the government in acting against the people behind such paper leaks is creating serious doubts in the minds of young generation and they are all on streets. Plz do something urgen

WE CAN WORK WITH THE GOVERNMENT TO SET UP A TICKET NUMBER BASED SYSTEM FOR ALL GOVERNMENT SERVICES. WHERE COMMON MAN WILL GET A TICKET NUMBER FOR ALL HIS APPLICATION. THRU THAT TICKET NUMBER HE CAN RAISE GREIVENCES & HE ONLY CAN CLOSE THE CASE FROM HIS MOBILE NUMBER. THE MORE THE PENDING CASES WITH GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS THE MORE THE CORRUPT THEY ARE. ALSO IT WILL INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY OF OFFICIALS & THEY TOO CAN BE REWARDED BY GOVERNMENT FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE. Call me +91-9833053244 for more

#IndiaGPS #IndiaPINcode I propose a a smart modification of Indian PIN code using an alphanumeric extension (1 number-2 letters as used in UK). Current PIN code area (172 sq km on average) will be reduced to 0.25 sq km. Delivery and locating any address will be easy.India can be structured to new PIN code format over a week if a collaboration can be made with Google and with kind support from Government. Corruption will be reduced. Please share and support. Regards, Dr Sumit Konar (Edinburgh).
