In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

It's Long time process, But Corruption started From there only, So we need to end from there only. Stop Giving Tips(Money) In Hotel, Stop Giving Complimentary extra paise to safaivala, Or any other workers, Stop telling to your kid that "if u do this i will give this", Don't take any Product Without Bargaining, if it's don't have Rate Tag, Like vegetables, etc. In the Gold Shops ask him for why you Charged for "Making charges" For Redye Made item.

I know large corruptions harm the economy of the whole nation but these small scale corruption disrupts the life of common man more and in turn turns him corrupt and he starts to avoid paying taxes, because he knows that the tax official will not penalise him if he fills his pockets on time. In scools we learn to lead an honest life but in reality we find that the whole society is lying to avoid taxes, red tapism, archaic government regultions and thus the soul of a responsible citizen dies.

I think you should implement a phone call like 100, 102,108 etc and that no. name anti corruption no. in district level for creating a deterrence in every persons and also think that only government officer and police are taking bribe so every government plenty and acceptable money only online available this is mandatory. every person who give money in cash can understand that in cash money for government is not legal so two benefits digital India start from gov. officer and corruption is end🙏

For example I had applied for passport.During the last one year I had 2 different cities where I had to stay due to my job. By error I lost the residential proof of my former stay location and my landlord was also out of country. Now for address verification I had to shell out 2.5K INR to the police in previous city and 1K to the police in current city. I tried to refuse to pay but I was told that I will be stamped a criminal and could never apply for passports in future. hat could I have done?

Yes government has no doubt taken steps to stop corruption that is why the Lokpal Bill is still pending to be implemented, traffic police still harasses commuters for not paying, lolac intelligence units still charges hefty amounts for passport address verification, TTE still takes money for providing seats to without ticket passengers. It is still a practice for government employees to take money for every petty work they do and common man has no option.
