In the past three years, the Government has endeavoured to remove corruption in every form and technology presents itself as one of the most potent tools. But, technological interventions work when the interventions are simple, transparent and include a public feedback mechanism. Utilising advancements in technology, the Government is following a multi-pronged strategy to tackle the problem in an effective manner

1. Transferring benefits directly to beneficiaries
2. Making government procurements transparent
3. Digitization of service deliveries
4. Promoting Cashless Transactions
5. Jan Bhagidari
6. Open Government Data

Direct Benefit Transfer was a significant step towards plugging leakages. Amount transferred via DBT is increasing and leakages are reducing. The government has laid equal emphasis on citizens getting Aadhaar. The Jan Dhan-Aadhaar-Mobile (JAM) trinity will bring complete accountability in monetary transactions and eliminate ghost beneficiaries.

Additionally, Government e-Marketplace (GeM) was launched to make government procurements simple and transparent, eliminating any scope of corruption. Faceless e-assessment for income tax payers introduced from 2018 was another important step. Tax officers now communicate with the taxpayers through the ‘E-Proceeding' facility which reduces human interface.

The fight against corruption is a long and arduous one. Various online platforms have been introduced by the government, wherein the citizens can join forces with them by sharing their feedback and views. The decision to involve the honest citizens of our country in the fight increases the strength of the force against corruption to a great extent.

In the same vein, MyGov invites citizens to share their ideas on how technology can be used to uproot corruption and suggest innovations to fight the malice in an effective manner. Ideas and suggestions can be provided in the form of a comment below or by attaching a PDF document.

Corruption is a real cancer of our country. We have to create new system in every field. From this system, we would be able to know the bank balance and property value(movable and immovable) of every government employee(low level to high level)and their family members at the end of each calendar year. If any abnormality observed, Immediate Suspension. If it is proved, Immediate Termination and no government job for the first generation of their family. Get sign at the time of posting about this

There are different forms of corruption and I am giving my opinion about one of the form i.e. Bribe Corruption. I am explaining it with the example in the attached PDF. I think with the help of the online market, we can improve ranking in corruption index. We can develop the portal for different different department so that we will have online records of the things and it will lead to transparency. It will also support Digital India campaign. Please find the attached PDF.

In every sector corruption is embedded no matter which full proof and transparent technology is used the Government officers are always involved in corruption. Once corruption is proved the corrupt officer should be dismissed form job instead of suspension from job. Aadhar card must be linked in services delivered to public. For example aadhar should be linked to every Ph.D research so as to avoid bogus duplicacy of it.Digital library as well as every university must have copy of Ph.D.

One of the main factors for corruption in Government Offices is due to lack of proper audit. If all the accounting is brought back under CAG control, as it had been prior to Emergency, most of the frauds and illegal expenditures in Government Offices will become negligible. Currently, the CAG Audit is done on a test check basis only - for eg in a year, one month account will be audited. In the pre-emergency period every expense will bear the approval of CAG office. Let accounting be under CAG
