Awareness campaigns should be conducted to let people know the danger behind the use of plastic...and proper plastic disposal systems should be installed everywhere for effective waste management. It's the responsibility of every human to protect mother Earth from plastic pollution. Changes I made in my lifestyle which can contribute to healthier environment. 1) I use steel and glass water bottle 2) I use paper bag 3) I reuse plastic bags if have any 4)I dispose plastic properly 5) Replacing plastic vessels with steel vessels 6) replacing plastic chairs with wooden chairs 7) plastic bags with jute bags I have made many changes to my lifestyle by cutting plastic and getting more close to nature..I'm open to new ideas of reducing plastic in daily life style I urge government to actively conduct awareness campaigns, improving the disposal systems etc...

To tackle the growing crisis of plastic pollution, it’s crucial that we embrace the three simple yet powerful actions: reduce, reuse, and recycle. By cutting down on single-use plastics, reusing what we can, and properly recycling waste, each of us can make a meaningful impact on the environment. Every small step counts in creating a cleaner, greener planet.

Plastic pollution won’t end until people rise against powerful plastic lobbies blocking real change. At People’s Participation, we believe individual actions must be strengthened by collective protest. MoEF&CC and MyGov invite citizens to share steps taken to reduce plastic use—but real impact needs more: people’s movement, policy push, and corporate accountability. The plastic industry thrives on greenwashing and loose regulation. Let’s challenge that. Share your experience, inspire change, and demand strict laws and sustainable alternatives. Only people’s united voice can beat plastic pollution. Raise it. Act now.

Join the Movement to Beat Plastic Pollution – A Message from People’s Participation People’s Participation, a dedicated rights-based NGO working across West Bengal, proudly supports the initiative by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) in collaboration with MyGov, encouraging citizens to reduce plastic waste and actively combat plastic pollution. This call for public participation is not just timely, but essential for ensuring a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future. Plastic pollution is one of the gravest environmental challenges of our time. It chokes our rivers and drains, harms marine and terrestrial life, and contaminates the food chain. As responsible citizens, we must act—starting from our homes, schools, workplaces, and communities.

Here’s my point of view on “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” to beat plastic pollution: 🌍 1. Reduce – The First and Most Important Step We must use less plastic in our daily lives. Many plastic items—like bags, bottles, straws, and packaging—are used once and thrown away. Carry your own cloth bags or bottles. Say no to plastic cutlery and straws. Choose products with less or no plastic packaging. Why? Because if we reduce demand, companies will produce less plastic. 🔄 2. Reuse – Share o ♻️ 3. Recycle – Turn Old into New Recycling means processing plastic waste into neHere’s my point of view on “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” to beat plastic pollution: --- 🌍 1.
