Many vector-borne diseases are transmitted by arthopods (mosquitoes, ticks, mites etc) and have prevalent in India namely malaria, dengue, chikungunya, filariasis and kala azar and these have become serious public health problems. National Programmes for prevention and control of these diseases have implemented and interventions at all levels, including community level, are being carried out. Through this platform Department of Health Research/Indian Council of Medical Research invites suggestions, views, best practices, innovative ideas to be tested through research to improve the strategies for better prevention, control and treatment of these vector-borne diseases.

3. Promote common man with good findings and take initiative to help them to popularise/ technical help and utilisation of the various instruments in the research institution for their further work/production in large scale etc.

Most pathetic condition in research institutions are there were feeble outcome from the R&D institutions for the benefits of the society inspite of utilising crores of rupees every year.1. Assessment of research institutions in every six months to identify whether the work carrying out there is for the benefit of common man. 2. Take steps to reach the benefits of the fruitful research to the common man. Minimise funds to these institutions if there is no improvement.contd....

Use personal protection measure like mosquito nets, nets in doors, windows etc. Mass cleanliness and awareness programmes in all educational institutions. Awareness programme at panchayat level will be conducted regularly about epidemics. Specially trained workers in rural areas can be used for the purpose.

Biological Control of mosquito larva or using oil at household level. Cleaning public places before rain. Strict observance for those who put waste in public places. Make law to punish them.Make change in planning rules that every flats/ house should provide space for waste disposal/ biogas plant and periodical cleaning before giving them approval. Monitor it periodically.Cleaning should be done with the help of social workers/ scavengers etc. Provide them gloves, shoes, masks etc. contd...

section 498a crpc. should be reviewed. so many innocent persons have suffered at the hands of vindictive wives. i am suffering since 1995 and case is still pending at 3rd judicial magistrate court at alipore ,kolkata-case no-BGR 2984/95. the case is being dragged only to harass me and my relatives in spite of divorce in 2013. why cannot the govt. take steps to stop harassment of husbands by wives through sec. 498a. why should there be such draconian laws. govt. should scrap sec. 498a.

I feel the govt should have reacted much earlier. Also teh current response is not goo. if you see the below article teh author mentioned that the private hospitals are capable of treatment but are not allowed to. http://www.dailyo.in/opinion/swine-flu-might-spare-your-life-government-wont/story/1/2143.html. Why not allow these big private hospitals to treat and if govt want to keep a tab on count these hospitals can send daily reports of such issue. Why a sick person has to be transferred just

Due to Swine Flu 700+ deaths have been reported, Govt Says Public Need not Panic. But I think Govt Need to Panic (The Tests at Govt labs to be Free, List of Test Centers to be made available on website and messages on phones (of Public at large) to be sent by Health Ministery

how about an NGO/GONGO collecting used mobile phones and distributing it to required people as people these days change phones freq'ly. This addresses e-pollution, less govt expenditure, mobile and internet penetration.
