I am NRI residing in Canada. I have two sons age between 23 & 28. They visited few times when they were young. Now they want to visit India but they don't like to get through VISA process. They claim that why the Indian Origin person when holds the foreign nationality has to have the VISA to enter his own country. They sould allow dual citizenship.

Large proportion of Pravasi Indians are professionals. Condition of most of the Govt Medical/Engineering college is pathetic due to insufficient funds. If each of us adopts our own Med/Eng college, we can revive their old glories. We are all capable. Our Alma mater provided us the most-needed wings. We should feel proud to give back whatever we can. In return or to make the process attractive, colleges can offer honorary titles. We may even devote 1 week/year for teaching and training in them.

1. Policy Changes- To lure investment from Parvasi, we can lower the Income tax on income generated.
2. Implementation Changes - We can create a online forum where Individuals/Businessman can interact. Individuals from India will provide plans to generate income, the funding can be done by Parvasi as angel investor.
3. Creation of Organization which will help Parvasi investor to do reality check up and evaluation of Individual who request for investments using online forum.

Government must come clearly for the women wearing jewels and coming to india for attending marriage. Facility must be available for declaring the value of gold brought in and that is being taken back so that there is no loss of revenue for government and NRI coming for occassion are not harressed by airport and custom officials

The Indian consulates in various parts of US specially the consulate in Chicago is a painfully pathetic place. Visitors who arrive here for various consular services has to wait on the road. They are not allowed to even wait in the lobby. It is remnant of the how the government employees people treat the public in India. Disrespectful. We need to see some educated, well mannered consular employees here who treats the pravasis better.
