It will be important that embassies outside India play an important role working closely with NRI population. Cultural exchange is not just soft thing, but by promoting Indian culture, we can definitely help promote inbound tourism to India too, however to generate that level of interest among the people of these countries definately embassy has to play a far more active role, rather then just creating a government establishment and enjoying the benefits.

Almost all Indian diaspora are active in promoting Indian culture in various forms, media play a critical role and in most countries you the media like Sony TV, Sun TV, Zee TV etc running their channels in indian languages. Plus the diaspora organizes several annual cultural programs in major cities like FetNA in USA for Tamil and similarly by Bengali, Telugu, etc by their respective associations. This gives all the Indians in North America, Africa, Europe an excellent cultural opportunities.

Embassies and posted officials do not have a coordinated long-term strategy. Also, they alienate the local NRIs, especially those who have achieved a high status in local societies, with behaviour that lacks respect and regard. A ‘team spirit’ is needed.

By celebrating Indian festivals in consulates abroad and promoting university degrees in Indian Culture for foreigners by providing financial assistance

NRI must be knowing the original indian power where money is not problem but the problem is in education and technology if we want to make our country versatile then we have to improve education system and have to make it better

Step 1: All NRI should bear in mind that they are representing India abroad. Should not involve in activities that defames India's heritage. Step 2 : Should abide to the rules and laws of the country they reside abroad. Step 3: Should have a good communication with the Indian Embassy in the country they live. Step 4 : Should try to bring up their children to be an example to Indian cultural behaviours . Step 5 : In the name of modernization they should not degrade the Indian cultural decorum.

NRI's can join hands with the universities both at home and abroad to build better relations between both. Education instituitions play a key role because they as a hub, educating and enlightening the future generation starts from there. They can help organize web conferences, webinars and help in recieving expert guidance to and from India.

"What is Indian Culture?" Well Bharatvarsh is far older than todays nationstates, and culture originally means to cultivate the mind and the soul. I think some introspection into the two words leads us to some answers.
