Hi Everyone, Govt took the decision in JAN 2015 that PIO will be no longer valid all NRI need to apply for OCI. All the PIO created on or before 9 Jan 2015 can apply OCI in lieu of PIO card. But if PIO is created after 9th Jan 2015 need to surrender the PIO card with extra fee of $20 and apply new PIO with fee of $295 Is this a correct way because initially creating PIO took $205 and then $320 again with 4 month long process. There should be a better way

Govt can do following to promote Indian Culture in Europe. 1. Tie up with local Governments to allow import of maximum possible Indian Items. 2. Special places to set up Indian Food and Articles Festivals in July-August (Summer Holidays) and November-December (Christmas Holidays). 3. Enhance Indian Cuiltural participation in Festivals like Karneval (in February). 4. Capitalise on the polularity of Bollywood stars here in Europe to market the above events (Shahrukh, Hrithik, Aishwarya etc.)
