Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

It's a great idea which has been tested and trusted in many nations worldwide. India is a pioneer in information technology and benefits from in-house talent which must be utilized to create digital infrastructure for Indians. The only challenge would be how secure this platform is?

Respected Prime minister.firstly congratulate to Mr. PM because of first time any of our PM to rethink about digital india.I am suggested to our PM to implement smart card system in PDS system.this smart card link with aadhar number or bank account number. very huge corruption in this area. Govt. of india is doing well thing but in Grass root level conditions is very bad.
