Online authentication using Aadhaar, which is already being offered as an authentication mechanism by UIDAI, can be made seamless if mobile numbers of individuals are linked to their Aadhaar numbers. This would do away with users providing Aadhaar number for every transaction as their mobile numbers would represent their Aadhaar number.

Ideas and suggestions are welcome on the Concept Paper on how mobile phones and Aadhaar could be linked so that mobile phones can be used as instruments for online electronic authentication of individuals’ identities.

The suggestions may include technical architecture and solutions, Use Cases, policy guidelines, process improvements, implementation mechanisms, etc.

The last date for submission of your comments is 12th February, 2015.

linking aadhar no to phone would be lenghty and time taking job new pattern to save time and accuracy is below in precise steps 1Collect all Phone list from telecom companies 2Develop a algorithm which will generate a unique identity number (like UIDAI)This algorithm can include state name, district name and company name and mobno to generate uniqueno 3Circulate this unique no via sms to all individual 4All individual will submit identity proof number via sms 5link that no to newunique no

(1/3) and other central offices..if we would include PPP then it might again not work..and in this process we can provide with OTP password to every citizen and also we can store information of every citizen with last 4 digit Aadhar no., through this they would be linked with mobile and we would get right data also and we can also make one system that gov. get every criminal, social and other background from last four no. This will also help in reducing crime, even in traffic rules and many more

(1/2) I would like to suggest that when we are talking about digital india we could first make sure that every citizen of india has aadhar card and the one who is provided with wrong aadhar card is to be deleted from list! For this my suggestions are that we can run an an scheme within an time-frame of 2-3 months where we can verify aadhar card with different documents and direct submission of that to central government. And to run this scheme, this can be done volunteers of gov. and other...

Its a nice idea linking mobile to Aadhar card! but i would like to first to take attention of the government that aadhar card was sold to the people in 100 to 1000 rs so to link it and make it as a authentication would be a big risk as many non-indians and terrorist can also become citizens with it and carry out other things! when we are thinking of digital india then i would like to suggest that it should be made with "zero tolerance policy" of hon. PM.(1/1)
