sKILL DEVELOPMENT SHOULDALSO INCLUDE SKILL UPGRADATION FOR NEGLECTED OR VULNERABLE SECTORS LIKE rETAIL AND cATERING iNDUSTRY.
Both of these sectors face intense competition from big players having access to modern technology. These sectors face threat of extinction thereby compromising interest of consumers in long run.
In order to upgrade skills of already employed persons, a special skill upgradation programme , all over India is urgently required.

Being a part of Skill India movement since last one year found a lot of questionable things. Time n again things can be seen to be done on surface level only. Training centres are not performing their work properly, moreover they are concentrating only on making money than to contribute on skill development. Ministry has to focus on such issues and should work on ground level. It's only a beginning

Skill development starts from school. Incorporating changes in curriculum to identify the already existing talent in the kids is the key. This when followed up by career counselling and job oriented training during the undergraduation will improve the scenario many folds and the employability of the undergrad students will be high. This technique may even have the potential to make India the "Education Hub" of the world. And we must start this from govt. schools to set an example for all.

Sir, one of the skills that needs to be imparted along with all entrepreneur skills is that of digital marketing. It's a skill that will enhance the capability of any individual to set up and run a business with a low level of investment. I would recommend you to look in to it.

As a skill head since past two years in flo lucknow kanpur chapter the difficulties I found in skilling women were :
In Non traditional jobs - generating awareness in
Girls for job opportunities as Early as in their 8th standard.Car driving/security/bus conductors peon./repairing of mobiles.
2-Traditional jobs -first create a job then skill them otherwise you have a line of unemployed youth.
3-training of skilling should be a part of curriculum in schools. all type of skilling.

Respected Sir, I am comparing the education system in western word with ours, it looks ours are totally theoretical 80% and 20% Practical, this is exactly opposite in outside, Again their is no communication between what industry is looking for and education we teach to students, who is teaching into the sector they don't have that much capable to give vision of the subject, for that purpose we need to invites Guest from the respective industry and guide to respective teaching staff.

in order to enhance the skill development levels...we need to focus on undergraduate level. our school syllabus are just fine imparting basic knowledge but level and quality of our undergraduate is deteriorating year after year.
1) The establishments who provide quality education in respective field are outnumbered by ambigeous and phony establishments. GOO needs to clamp down on such institutions to upkeep the quality of efucation.
2) GOI needs to establish body to maintain these standards

I am working women. However due to demanding nature of my job and financial constraint, i can't go for PG.Free online courses should be provided. There is one such concept Coursera which offers online course where professors hold lectures for free. A minimum amount should be paid if you need certificate. A lot of people miss out specialization and/ or opportunities due to personal commitment, financial constraints. These initiatives by the government will definitely help in people like us.
