Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

I have taken up a tribal drop out boy. He does not like to study as he feels chocked in class room. So a system with the nature is best suited for him. New education system with nature is the need of the hour for them. Forest preservation animal behaviour study extracting forest product for commercial use are the key areas interests him. They are with mother nature so let us leave them with mother.

I am moving with the tribal groups in North Bengal. Their ancestral land is being taken by outsiders. A department is working for them. It is of no use. A plan was presented to make them self employed. It was promptly rejected on filmsy ground. Tribal art has a good export market. Bamboos use can be utilised for interior decoration. Forest department refuses to allow them cut bamboo trees. Dept says elephant eats bamboo shoots. If they cut the bamboo it becomes easy for the elephant

With my exp. with TD and JFM, I strongly believe there are no quick-fix solutions to address the problem. We need to undertake a systematic Policy Analysis Programme involving all the important stakeholders, to be initially undertaken in all districts having substantial tribal population and the outcomes be analyzed in the state level workshop (w/s) to identify Policy Changes and Programme of Action for effective implementation. If needed I may design & help conduct both type of the W/Ss.

Honourable PM Sir, Good governance is far away in India due to prevailing high degree of corruption in our day to day life. When distribution of need full essential resources is concerned , s government with identification of some political party can not do this job. rather a non political entity like Ram krishna misson can do do this job impertially and perfactly. Indian people has lost faith on government with some political identity. Some accounts like vulnerable section like farmers weaker se

Tribal people have great knowledge of medicinal sciences. Can we develop a syllabus that can incorporate their knowledge into our ideas of medical education and develop them as health professionals? If many such therapists are produced it will benefit health-deprived rural areas. Sports education is another good option.

Adiwaasi are original habitants of country, but british discriminated against them for 200 years. after 1947, british created party, congress also continued with same apartheid but with 7.5% reservation while robbing them of their rights over natural resources of their area. now if we want literacy/education plan of ST to succeed, it has to be linked not only with their employ-ability after education but also their ownership over natural resources where they live. Then, they will be motivated
