Education is considered as the backbone of development, both at the individual household and societal levels. Educating the tribal children has been a challenge for the Government for various socio-cultural, economic, ecological and administrative reasons. Government is redesigning its strategies to create an enabling ecosystem of equal opportunity for quality education for ST children.

One of the major concerns of Tribal education is the low ST literacy rate and high ST drop-out rate.

Reducing the ST drop-out rates in Class I to X is a challenge. Bringing them back and to gainfully utilizing those who have already dropped out requires extreme care, sensitivity, imagination and meticulous planning.

Through this platform, Ministry of Tribal Affairs invites ideas, suggestions, views, opinions, solutions, criticism, and best practices from citizen for innovative interventions.

would require education ,& at this juncture they would surely understand the need of literacy & than take interest & avoid dropping out ,. Secondly ,most dropouts are due to financial & basic amenities deprivation. therefore if this part is taken care of by providing proper assistance to the family by proper earning opportunity creation ,than the rate to dropouts can be reduced .

Modiji First of all start schools and primary health centre in tribal settlement areas without calculating profit from it and sufficient staff and continuous monitoring system to check whether these facilities are receiving the eligible ones. Make provisions for supplying food materials per week for all and the quality of food supplied should be checked.

I am a tribal person. Since I am educated and have a prime land in city doing business but am far away from any banking help. There are many people here like me who have prime lands in city area but no bank is ready to help out for bank loans due to legal restrictions imposed in few states for tribal people. I agree with the govt but something should be done for people like me who can atleast get loans from bank to do business.
