Shri Shyam Lal Sah Gangola is one of the unsung heroes of the freedom struggle. He was born in Bageshwar of Uttrakhand. During his childhood days he observed the suffering due to Kuli Begar pratha prevalent in hills . People of the area had to work as Koolies for the British. He was influenced with Ghandhiji and fought for removal of this unjust practice. For this he launched kuli begar andolan along with other leaders. He was imprisoned for it for long.
We salute him for his sacrifice.

Mohandas Caram Chand Ghandhi.
Gandhi ji organized Indian resistance, fought anti-Indian legislation in the courts and led large protests against the colonial government. Along the way, he developed a public persona and a philosophy of truth-focused, non-violent non-cooperation he called Satyagraha.

Basically I am from Haryana and being a haryanvi I would like to enlight the sacrifice of our haryanvi freedom fighter ' SIR CHOTU RAM ' . Sir Chhotu Ram was a prominent politician in British India's Punjab Province, an ideologue of the pre-Independent India, who belonged to the Jat community and championed the interest of oppressed communities of the Indian subcontinent. Critics may call Chhotu Ram a caste leader, but he also sought to articulate the suffering of the peasantry. His basic thesis was that farming was the primary human activity.Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveils a statue of Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram at Sampla in Rohtak, Tuesday, Oct 9, 2018 .

Sir,You would be pleased to know that it was my late maternal Grandfather Shri Sadhan Kar's joint initiative as part of the Azad Hind Government Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee towards the setting up of the Honorable INA Memorial Plaque in 1995 Singapore and I wanted to take the opportunity of conveying that back then my late Shri Sadhan Kar accompanied with Dr Sisir Bose and others were part of a Team visiting on the Singapore Government's invitation including that of the then Honorable Prime Minister of Singapore Goh Chok Tong pertaining to the 50th Anniversary commemoration of the 2nd World War while inaugurating the plaque in 1995. Shri Sadhan Kar was a part of the Freedom Movement of the Great Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose for a very Long time fighting against British Occupation. Unfortunately, he passed away in the early hours of May 17th, 2019.
