As part of the 'Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, a series of events are being organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Through this MyGov activity, we aim to revisit history and acknowledge our local heroes whose struggles during the Freedom Movement have not received prominence in the conventional storyline. Let's raise awareness about our freedom struggle & the unsung heroes associated with it. It’s time that the contributions of fighters like Veer Gundandhur, Velu Nachiyar, Bhikaji Cama, etc. see the light of the day.

This is your chance to tell the story that must be told and honour the freedom fighters who have played an important role in making our nation free.

*हंसते हंसते फांसी को गले लगाया* मोमबत्तियां बुझ गयी चिराग तले अँधेरा छाया था फांसी के फंदे पर जब तीनों वीरों को झुलाया था सुखदेव,भगत सिंह,राजगुरु के मन को कुछ और न भाया था हँसते हँसते देश की खातिर फांसी को गले लगाया था। तीनों के साथ आज एक बड़ा सा काफिला था भारतवर्ष में लगा जैसे मेला कोई रंगीला था लेकर जन्म इस पावन धरा पर उन्होंने अपना फर्ज निभाया था हँसते हँसते देश की खातिर फांसी को गले लगाया था। मौत का उनको डर न था सीने में जोश जोशीला था परवाह नहीं थी अपने प्राण की बसंती रंग का पहना चोला था, छोड़ मोह माया इस जग की अपनों को भी भुलाया था हँसते हँसते देश की खातिर फांसी को गले लगाया था। इंकलाब का नारा लिए विदा लेने की ठानी थी लटक गए फांसी पर किन्तु मुख से उफ्फ तक न निकाली थी, देश भक्ति को देख तुम्हारी सबने अश्रुधार बहाया था हँसते हँसते देश की खातिर फांसी को गले लगाया था

Name - Tirupur kumaran Born in tirupur which is a town near coimbatore district of tamil nadu. In 1932 , kumaran launched a protest march against british. He was carrying the indian national flag, which enraged british officials. They started assaulting the protesters, including kumaran which eventually led to his death. When he fell into faint before dying, he clung on to the indian national flag ensuring it did not fall...

1. Name : Late Shri Bhagwan Das Jain 2. Age : 28.10.1915 to 18.10.1982 3. Address : 99 Pan Dariba Allahabad 4. District : Prayagraj 5. State : U.P 6. He was a 'Krantikari' also a close associate of late P.M Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji. They were in Naini Jail , Allahabad from April to December 1944. Details attached in the book.

My father Late Shri Bhagwan Das Jain was in Naini Jail Allahabad district alongwith Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji and Shri Kamlapati Tripathi Ji. He served a sentence of 9 months. He was sub-editor of newspaper 'The Leader' in which he has written motivational articles including articles on Mahatma Gandhi and Vir Savarkar. My book is ready. How to post it.

My father Late Shri Bhagwan Das Jain was a freedom fighter and receipient of Freedom fighter samman pension. He was a close associate of Late Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri Ji. I have written a book on his role in freedom movement and achievement. He was a resident of Prayagraj (Allahabad) and later was a Dy Superintendent of Police in U.P. I want to submit the book. How can I do this

Bhagat Singh was a prominent freedom fighter in the Independence movement. He was born on September 28, 1907, in Punjab, India, to a Sikh family. Bhagat Singh's dad and uncle were freedom fighters, which inspired him to join the movement. He devoted his life to the Independence movement at the age of thirteen.
