As part of the 'Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, a series of events are being organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Through this MyGov activity, we aim to revisit history and acknowledge our local heroes whose struggles during the Freedom Movement have not received prominence in the conventional storyline. Let's raise awareness about our freedom struggle & the unsung heroes associated with it. It’s time that the contributions of fighters like Veer Gundandhur, Velu Nachiyar, Bhikaji Cama, etc. see the light of the day.

This is your chance to tell the story that must be told and honour the freedom fighters who have played an important role in making our nation free.

Share the stories with all the details and celebrate Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with us.

श्रीमान नमस्कार लंबे समय तक चले स्वाधीनता संग्राम मे महिलाओ की भूमिका की बहुत बड़ी है कुछ नाम जानते है कुछ गुमनाम है। ऐसे एक नाम दुर्गा देवी/दुर्गा भाभी सिर्फ तीसरी कक्षा पढ़ी होने के वाबजूद बम बनाना पिस्तौल चलाना क्रांतिकारियो तक हथियार पहुचाना उनका काम था चन्द्रशेखर आजाद जो पिस्तौल से खुद को गोलीं मारी थी उसे दुर्गा भाभी ने ही दिया था ऐसे ही एक पंजाब मे जन्मी गुलाब कौर जिन्होनें देश को आजाद कराने के लिए अपने पति को भी छोड़ कर गदर पार्टी के साहित्य सामग्री के प्रचार प्रसार मे जुट गयी थी ब्रिटिश सरकार ने राजद्रोह के जुर्म मे सजा भी मिली थी ऐसे वीरांगनाएँ को नमन।

Senapati Bapat Born: 12 November 1880. Died: 28 November 1967. Story About his Contribution to Freedom Movement : Pandurang Mahadev Bapat re-aligned himself with Gandhi's vision of swaraj. From 1921, Bapat led 3 year farmer's protest against the construction of Mulshi Dam by Tata company . Company had initially dug test trenches on land without obtaining permission and farmers, who were mostly tenants, objected in fear of losing their lands. Dam was eventually constructed and thus protest ultimately failed. Compensation for lands submersed by dam's construction was eventually arranged but was given to landlords rather than to tenants. Although satyagrahas are intended to be non-violent, Bapat was jailed for vandalism of construction project rather than be captured for this, he turned himself in. His third jail sentence was for speaking at public gathering held by Subhas Chandra Bose. He acquired the title of Senapati, as consequence of his leadership during the Mulshi satyagraha.

Name Jagannath Singh s/O Hamir/Mukan Singh no birth details death 1983 The field was the guide of Gandhiji, then participated in the Non-Cooperation Movement, Quit India Movement and World War II and was awarded the War Medal. Due to the beating of his fellow rebel in village Raipur by him, he was very popular in the immediate time.

That form of Krishna was the hope of dreams of freedom He was like a burning flame on coals Who saw the dream of freedom at every step He was Birsa Munda Even though he did not have weapons in his hand It looked like a lion again in jail handcuffs The one who thought of it as a jewel was Birsa Munda, in the freedom struggle, Birsa Munda got his name written in golden letters, even though history gave him a place in a few lines, yet he was no less than a superman for us Dhanush, whose beauty was sweet, whose voice Birsa was lit as much as the lamp of freedom

Name- Late Pandit Jwala Prasad Astrologer District- Narsinghpur, Sagar State-Madhya Pradesh Contribution to freedom struggle, Satyagraha, Jail torture Became MP from Sagar thrice after attaining independence and gave proof of being a selfless and true patriot.

नाम जगन्नाथ सिंह s/O हमीर/मुकन सिह जन्म पूर्ण जानकारी नही मृत्यु 1983 कार्यक्षेत्र गांधी जी के पथ प्रदर्शक थे तो असहयोग आन्दोलन,भारत छोडो आंदोलन व द्वितीय विश्व युद्ध मे भाग लिया व वार मैडल से सम्मानित हुए। इनके द्वारा गांव रायपुर मे अपने सजातीय विद्रोही की पिटाई के कारण तात्कालिक समय मे बहुत चर्चित रहे थे। मुझे गर्व है कि मै इनका पोता हूँ। जय हिन्द हनवंत सिंह राठौड़ गांव रायपुर जिला पाली राजस्थान 9928473247
