Sri Dev Suman (25 May 1916 – 25 July 1944) was a social activist from Tehri District of Uttarakhand. He was born at Jaul village patti Bamund near chamba city of Tehri Garhwal.

When the whole of India was fighting to be free from rule from the British government, Suman was advocating that Tehri Riyasat be free of the rule of King of Garhwal. He was a great fan of Gandhi and used the nonviolence way for the freedom of Tehri. [1]
During his fight with the King of Tehri called as Bolanda Badri

This utmost sensitivity of the PM Sri Narendra Mody is astonishingly amazing- out of his v v busy schedule he found time to remind us of the unsung freedom fighters. This reminded me of the serial -"BUNIYAD" in which some body mentions - some thing similar to following - the young genetation will not understand about freedom fighters of the pre Independence era.I shall mention about one such unsung hero, with the hope that many will tell us about many unsung freedom fighters-cont nxt post

An unsung hero is a person who has achieved great things or committed acts of bravery or self-sacrifice, yet is not celebrated or recognized. An unsung hero may be someone who acts bravely in battle without notice, or someone who sacrifices himself for the good of the group, without recognition.
