As part of the 'Bharat Ki Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations, a series of events are being organized by the Government of India to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence.

Through this MyGov activity, we aim to revisit history and acknowledge our local heroes whose struggles during the Freedom Movement have not received prominence in the conventional storyline. Let's raise awareness about our freedom struggle & the unsung heroes associated with it. It’s time that the contributions of fighters like Veer Gundandhur, Velu Nachiyar, Bhikaji Cama, etc. see the light of the day.

This is your chance to tell the story that must be told and honour the freedom fighters who have played an important role in making our nation free.

The story I want to share about Shaheed Bhagat Singh who at a very young age dreamed only to make India independent given the slogan "Inquilab Zindabad" inspired many youths fought to achieve dream of Free India, his idea of strategic planning and self supreme sacrifice towards freedom struggle is truly remarkable. Chauri Chaura incident: A group of protestors who were participating in the Non-cooperation movement, clashed with the police at Chauri Chaura who open fired on the advancing protestors, leaving three dead. In retaliation, the protestors set ablaze the police station killing 22 policemen.

Kanailal Dutta 2nd Martyr after Khudiram Bose He was associated with Yugantar Dal led by Barindranath Ghosh. He was put into jail under Maniktala Bomb Case. At that time one of their teammate wanted to be Appover by getting brainwashed from the Britishers. Veer Kanailal Dutta and Satyen Bose arranged revolver in the jail to kill the traitor Naren Gosai. They killed Naren Gosai at Presidency Jail Kolkata. British Government ordered sentenced to death to both of them.
