Shri Konda Venkata Ranga Reddy, well known as Shri K V Ranga Reddy, was one of the greatest freedom fighters from Telangana. Telangana at the time of India's Independence, 1947 was a part of the Nizam's Dominions of Hyderabad, popularly called Hyderabad Princely State. When British had declared that India would become Independent on August 15, 1947, the Nizam proclaimed that he would become an Independent ruler and that Hyderabad Princely State would become an Independent Country. In this situation, Shri K V Ranga Reddy inspired the people to fight for the merger of Hyderabad Princely State in Indian Union, through the Join Indian Union Movement of August 7, 1947. Several thousands of people demanded in a single voice the merger of Hyderabad Princely State in Indian Union. Shri K V Ranga Reddy was arrested and imprisoned for over two months. Finally, Hyderabad Princely State was integrated in Indian Union through Police Action, 1948. A district is named after him in Telangana State.

This is a saga of unsung HEROS, THE WAR VETERANS OF 1965 and 1971 wars. The Wars which were Fought decisively in favour of our great Nation by these Heroic ECO’s And SSCO’s. 57 years have elapsed and gone by these War Hero’s are yet to be honoured. Ironically these dare devils after their winning Laurels for Nation were sent home without any pension or perks. Their winning story has been docketed in the military chronicles and yet to be published. Many perished in the war, who survived most merged with Divine , a handful left in the age group of 80 and above are awaiting the implementation of YUDH SAMAAN YOJANA. Requesting PM Shri Narendra Modi To intervene and bring due justice by ordering implementation of YUDH SAMAAN YOJANA before time runs out for them. JAI HIND 💐💐🕉🙏🇮🇳
