Calling for stories, videos and ideas on the 11 Fundamental Duties!

Commemorating the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India this year on 26th November, 2019 , the Government of India launched a campaign focusing on creating awareness on the Fundamental Duties that are enshrined in Chapter IV-A (Article 51A) of the Indian Constitution throughout the country.

Fundamental Duties impart directions of citizenship behaviour on the part of all concerned. The onus of implementation of Fundamental Duties is on every citizen. Though not legally enforceable, they have an inherent element of compulsion regarding compliance because what is duty for one is another person’s right.

By practicing and thus reinforcing these Fundamental Duties, we, as common citizens, can play a positive and effective role in fulfilling our duties towards our country and fellow citizens and will also ensure that India occupies a rightful place in the comity of nations.

MyGov in collaboration with Department of Justice invites you to share your stories, videos or ideas on the 11 Fundamental Duties.
• to abide by the Constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem
• to cherish and follow the noble ideals which inspired our national struggle for freedom
• to uphold and protect the sovereignty, unity and integrity of India
• to defend the country and render national service when called upon to do so
• to promote harmony and the spirit of common brotherhood amongst all the people of India transcending religious, linguistic and regional or sectional diversities; to renounce practices derogatory to the dignity of women
• to value and preserve the rich heritage of our composite culture
• to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures
• to develop the scientific temper, humanism and the spirit of inquiry and reform
• to safeguard public property and to abjure violence
• to strive towards excellence in all spheres of individual and collective activity so that the nation constantly rises to higher levels of endeavour and achievement
• who is a parent or guardian to provide opportunities for education to his child or, as the case may be, ward between the age of six and fourteen years.

Every citizen of a country has a role towards its nation and we in India are blessed to enjoy our fundamental rights. As the government fulfils it's duty towards the society, the society also has certain duties towards the nation. I feel that we all should unite and acknowledge the developments that our country has experienced and lend a hand in every possible way to make sure that the future of India is bright. The only thing that will keep us going is unity and if we ourselves set aback and f

Namaste Ji, I would like to bring to your kind notice that in Tamil Nadu, Govt. Busses are not covered under vehicle insurance. Because of that lot of Road Accident claims are pending, even after the Courts issued order for compensation. So, VICTIMS and their family members are suffering like anything. Humbly request necessary directions to be passed on to Government of Tamil Nadu.. I am attaching documents related to my accident claim pending for two years from the court order.

RIGHTS. *These are the rights and freedoms guaranted by constitutions of some countries of the world to Thier cities
