Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance or UMANG developed by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology was inspired from the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister, who said “e-Governance, let us think about ‘mobile first’ and thus give importance to m-Governance”.

On November 23, 2017, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi dedicated the UMANG Mobile app to the Nation with 163 services. UMANG is an initiative to build a common, unified platform, aggregating major government services of Center, States, local bodies, including important utility services, to facilitate a single point access through mobile app, anytime, anywhere. Citizens need to download just one mobile application and can access multiple services.

UMANG was envisaged to have a transformative and historic impact on the lives of citizens by allowing them to avail digital services on 24*7, without any intermediary. Connected government, effective & economic governance, citizen centricity, inclusiveness, universal access and citizen participation in governance are some of the key benefits of UMANG for citizens as well as the Government.

Within a short period of its successful running, the mobile app bagged the ‘Best m-Government Service’ award at the 6th World Government Summit held at Dubai, UAE, in February 2018. UMANG also won at the IDC Digital Transformation Awards 2018 in August, under the category Omni-experience Innovator, which recognized it as a pioneering initiative.

The ‘Digital India Jury choice award 2018-19’ and DARPG Gold award 2018-19 for ‘Excellence in providing Citizen Centric Delivery’ respectively, were also bestowed upon UMANG. Information dissemination and delivery of government services, for assisting citizens on various aspects of life & livelihood, is being taken to another level through the consolidation of many important and widely used government services onto a single unified mobile app i.e. UMANG

UMANG Team now invites your suggestions for which 3 new services to on-board from State/Central Government departments on to the UMANG Platform.

Please submit your suggestions (comments) latest by 18th January, 2022.

Comments may also be sent by email at: umang.gov@gmail.com

Create a new section for Individual GST payers. Let GST payers get 50% Income Tax exception on Total GST Paid amount. The more cash is in hand people spend more, more spending creates job opportunities and meanwhile govt earns. This benefit can be given only for the salaried class who's Income Tax deducted at the source. This will benefit govt in multiple ways, like Consumers will insist merchants to produce original GST bills, so Indirectly people force to follow ethics which gives benefit to govt, people and creates transparency. If anyone give fake GST bills they will be cot easily. Also to avail GST Benefit, consumer to produce PAN number at the shop which can consolidate GST paid amount and we can login and check How much amount of GST Paid to the govt.

As we are working towards being a 5 trillion dollars economy. It is required to adopt some best practices in the field of Ease of Doing business. We have to add services related to EODB like diversification, pollution-environment-related permission, various registration and incorporation-related formalities. It could be a separate section as a whole.

A 24*7 portal can be created under the Pollution Control authority, through which citizens can anonymously inform about polluting activities happening in their locality, and the local authorities can instantly reach the spot to verify the same. This will be of great help to prevent burning of plastics in village areas which is quite prevalent and is a contributes harmful gases into the atmosphere. Kindly consider this suggestion.

Please allocate fund for providing world class internship and training to all young doctors and please take steps to retain all Doctors in India. The FMGE exams conducted by NBE is out of context and out of the world, it does not sync with Indian medical conditions or education . It is not designed to test the skills , aptitude or knowledge of a student but to show off the high and intimidating high standards of the examining Board, NBE. Not even the most brilliant students and professors will pass this exam with no syllabus or transparency Many students don't pass even after 5 attempts and there are complaints regarding FMGE exams conducted by NBE. Many students pass the prestigious PLAB and USMLE and go abroad. This is against the spirit of Atma Nirbhar Bharat . An uniform minimum pay structure for doctors and interns required .

I suggest to have a budgetary proposal for extending low-interest loans for amounts up to five lakhs to those having annual income of Rs.3 lakhs and less, which if accepted will go a long way to redress the situation for the lower income groups
