During the year 2015-16, India spent Rs.4.82 lakh crores on imports to fulfill domestic demand. To reduce the import burden, and also to work towards to a greener environment, it is proposed to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week.

Our Hon’ble Prime Minister has urged all citizens to avoid usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day in a week. He has said that if 125 crore Indians pledge to do this, the dream of a ‘New India’ can be achieved.

Citizens are invited to suggest ways for encouraging and motivating the masses to avoid the usage of Petrol/Diesel for one day, every week.

The last date of submission is 15th April, 2017, 12:00PM

Solar cars should come in the market soon. Govt should provide support to companies to bring in compact 2seater solar cars in the market at competitive price asap. Majorly in cities considering the traffic the max speed needed is 60 km. Also majorly 1 or 2 person travel in the car at a time. So COMPACT SOLAR CARs can fullfill that need. This will bring tragic reduction in pollution. Also if we bring in Solar and electronic two wheelers,it would be great..!

Their should be the awareness programme in schools,colleges,Pvt Institutions,Offices for the same,kind of an Campaign for less use of petrol/diesel actually we use vehicles to save time which is directly connected to follow a good daily regime waking up early in d mrng & going to sleep early to the bed spending some quality time and walking,cycling & pooling actually is healthier for your own life standard .....their is nothing known as class 1 by car and class 2 by scooter .....

yeah!!!It should be appreciable.Only one day can make a great change,in indian economy,etc.,Also it should be announced for our indian products.It can increase our indian economy massively.My kind & humble request to the citizens of India,"please should avoid fuel only one day & should buy our indian products for atleast one day

4th: Can I dare to get into public transport in tier2 or 3 cities where the buses and tempos are over crowded and stinking with filth ( sans Metro Rail and alike ). Stop overloaded tractors and trucks plying on roads making it totally unsafe for others. Stop allowing Shobha Yatras and religious processions from city main roads and highways.
