A humble suggestion to regulate Improperly discharging ballast water from ship shall be effectively controlled by providing filtered seawater complying D2 standards of Ballast Water Convention on charge (fixed price) basis at Indian Port. NIOTunder Ministry of Earth Science finding envisions subsurface intake system/beach well technology capable of producing eco-friendly seabed filtered seawater of Ballast Water Convention standard in a port-based facility. सरकार को ढांचागत विकास और बंदरगाह के आधुनिकीकरण और नियमित गतिविधियों पर काम करना चाहिए, बहुराष्ट्रीय कंपनियों पर बंदरगाह रखरखाव का काम छोड़ना चाहिए और सरकार को बंदरगाह की गतिविधियों की निगरानी करनी चाहिए।
