The General Aids to Marine Navigation along the Indian Coast is administrated by Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL) as per Lighthouse Act, 1927. Over the period of time maritime sector has undergone massive change. There have been enormous technological developments in the field of Aids to Marine Navigation. To incorporate the global best practices, technological developments and India's International obligations in the field of Aids to Marine Navigation, the Draft Aids to Navigation Bill 2020 is prepared to replace existing Lighthouse Act 1927.

The Draft Aids to Navigation Bill (to replace Lighthouse Act 1927) is hereby circulated for comments of all concerned.

most important is to modernize all ports to world class ports level, just like international Airports. Fast Transportation, easy to use facilities such that all coastal areas people to make use Naval transport system. so that there will be reduced Traffics on High ways, reduced petrol consumption, reduction in air pollution, reduced accidents. etc. I travelled from UK to France border by Sea, fantastic, still very strong in my memory. cleanliness, luxury facilities marvelous. we should matchit

SIR, IN INDIA MOST OF THE GOODS ARE IMPORTING THROUGH MARINE/ SEA WAY WE HAVE TO REPLACE LIGHTHOUSE ACT 1927 WHICH IS 9 DECADES OLD. WE HAVE TO CHARGE BALANCE LEVIES IN SHIPS ARE COMING FROM FOREIGN COUNTRY. AIDS IS WE CAN MODERNISM THE PORT AND PERSONAL WITH EQUIPMENT. GUILTY OF OFFENCE BY SHIPS OR CREW MEMBER MUST TO DONE AS PER INTERNATIONAL RULE. MORE POWER MUST BE GIVEN TO Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships (DGLL) SO THAT THE EXERCISE THERE POWER FROM CRIME AND SMUGGLING.

India shall look forward for deep sea mining. Precious minerals which otherwise can not be found on land are available below sea beds. Though, it may be difficult and costly but it has to be remembered that Sagarmanthan is our ancient practice of sea mining and it yielded many precious minerals. It is said Devi Laksmi, Kamadhenu, precious jewels, Amrit and Vish all were mined out of that. Different minerals can be found at different depths. It can be game changer for India

With continue to my previous comments non tech team work on port for loading and unloading cargo fr container from vessels. I am working in a logistics company (technical ) I have some knowledge about tech work. Please check the suggestion and please inform me . I will be happy to work for my govt.

Hi Sir, First we need to aware the people about it. Then we need to start single port to port transportation in india and then between india and foreign country. We need to get study about maritime knowledge and let the people aware about that. We need to hire the people for technical and non technical work.technical team will work and care about all the task from booking the cargo to the end task like sending invoices to customer and all. And non tech team will work on actual field loading
