MADAD is an effort of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to extend a helping hand to Indians abroad requiring consular assistance.

MADAD allows direct registration of the grievances by the members of the public and effective monitoring of the grievance handling process thereafter, until it is redressed.

MADAD incorporates several innovative features such as flexible architecture to handle a variety of grievances, linking of similar grievances on the basis of passport number to avoid duplication, automatic escalation and enhancement of priority, provision for a call centre in the future to handle telephonic queries, and colour-coded dashboards for easy assessment and monitoring.

New initiatives like MADAD are being implemented by Ministry of External Affairs to better address consular needs of people through our Missions/Posts abroad. Do you feel these have helped people and led to improved delivery of services? We invite your views/suggestions.

I am happy to see some improvements in our country. However, we should not be complacent and keep improving. This could be possible by making incentive scheme rather than only punishing and leaving upto the police for law reinforcement. Aforestation should be given high priority in addition to development of infrastructure and discouraging corruption. In my personal opinion Rs 2.00 per Kilo of rice is not helping to build a strong India but making the generation lethargy.

All workers specially in Gulf & African countries must have registration process (over mobile) and every year a message from Indian Govt must be sent asking their condition and work atmosphere. If worker doesn't reply that means he is in trouble. This will help workers who are going for work in good company but got trapped.

NRIs repatriate about 70 Billion Dollars every year back home contributing in their own way to help their motherland grow. The NRIs should not get step motherly treatment. They need to be given facilities to take education in the Country if needed. and should not be discriminated against. They need to be given due legal protection to preserve their ancestral properties back home, from encroachment. The harassment meted out at airports needs to be minimised. The visa needs simplification.

People from most countries including our small neighbour Nepal can exchange their driving licence in most other countries- but Indian driving licence cannot be exchanged anywhere - because we don't allow any country licence to be exchanged in India. Shouldn't this be changed? Otherwise why we say Digital India? #MEA

We ahould open a mission to welcome all illegal immigrants from Bangladesh and make them citizens of India without any fuss. The open government and public land should be distributed to them to make houses, open toilets and they should be given jobs at the expense of all others to sustain life. The only way for this country to progress is by importing labour because the people in this country only want food at 2 rupees and do not want to work more than 100 days. Please do the needful.

When i wrote in the columns of Quora Digest that an OCI card was issued to my grandson within 3 weeks after application by the Indian Consulate at Atlanta, GA, USA in 2015, it was rebutted by many saying that there was more delay in the issue of PIO/OCI cards by the Indian Missions at New York, Washington, etc., in 2015 and 2016 than it used to be before 2014. Indian Missions need to publicize the timelines and adhere to them with timely updates online or by sms/Whatsapp, etc. Thanks.

Hello Sir, Recently, I have to apply for a sworn affidavit Doc for my Daughter's passport. I have to send a Money order of 20$ + 3$ as Indian Community Welfare fund That's Fine. But, I have to spend 45$ for Notary and almost 40$ for "To and Fro" Shipment for the consular Office. And now, I have to spend another 35$/40$ min. to ship it back to India. Sir, If this process is automated, we don't mind even paying the whole charges to the consular office. Thanks for providing the platform . Kishan
