MADAD is an effort of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to extend a helping hand to Indians abroad requiring consular assistance.

MADAD allows direct registration of the grievances by the members of the public and effective monitoring of the grievance handling process thereafter, until it is redressed.

MADAD incorporates several innovative features such as flexible architecture to handle a variety of grievances, linking of similar grievances on the basis of passport number to avoid duplication, automatic escalation and enhancement of priority, provision for a call centre in the future to handle telephonic queries, and colour-coded dashboards for easy assessment and monitoring.

The link to the website is http://www.madad.gov.in/AppConsular/welcomeLink

New initiatives like MADAD are being implemented by Ministry of External Affairs to better address consular needs of people through our Missions/Posts abroad. Do you feel these have helped people and led to improved delivery of services? We invite your views/suggestions.

Madad would be a good help to those Indians who are out of India for some work The grievance should be linked with passport number and adhar linkage should also be done.the website and app should be user friendly with drop down features for easy accessdibilty from smart phone as well as the PC .one thing is very important that the call center and the grievance monitoring should be done 24x7 as sometimes the need of the grievance requires urgent attention.

many people stranded abroad may know about this initiative of MEA but most of them educated or uneducated may not be able to operate at the time of emergency. all people going abroad must be given training how to avail this facility. also this facility should be made available in all indian languages. many unskilled workers are not in a position of availing this facility.

MADAD portal will definitely useful and helpful to the Indian people who are abroad upto some aspect, but, I want to suggest that, services should not kept for limited purpose, it should be increased as per the requirement and need of the people. There are so many other help like, knowledge, education, skill, employment, legal, and other help in case of physical and mental harassment problem to the indian citizen, I suggest that gradually, such types of services in MADAD should be added, best wishes

Good initiatives. We can print website details on back page of passport so that this will be known to people traveling abroad and will be helpful for them in need. Can we have bilateral agreement with various states for exchange of information/assistance when any Indian national is in need of some help in such grievances so as to resolved the issue at the earliest. Air operators should be asked to give do's and don't list for specific state to passengers.

Social media grievances could also be answered, as they also come from citizen. Fir that, govt's social media presence should be made known. Point being, if election campaigns can come as I've calls, why not govt initiatives and "Call for Grievances"?

Can the Govt phone numbers to ministries and departments have voicemail? Also that they should be checked, at least once every week. Also, every govt. Website should have a discussion board, with participation from the members. For ease, there should be a webapp as well. Citizens should be able to mark discussion priority, as well as the participating officers.

I would really love to caste my vote, even if I am not in the nativity. Is it possible to make available "Remote Voting Station" s nationwide, like employment exchange? They will have digitally empowered and multi-auth-&-Biometrically secured Server customizable voting interface. Any citizen can walk up to the local RVS on the day of voting, if he/she is out of station and cast vote. This will save time for the citizen commutation as well as gather their vies also. #MADAD, #MyGov
