One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

This is regarding tax evasion in Bhubaneswar under the head income from'house property'as per Income Tax Act. One suggested solution is 1. get database of of the electricity department of entire odisha region 2. link the data to PAN 3. filter the names having multiple electricity connections and 4. populate these data in the CIB/AIR database or ITD database so that Assessing Officers of Income Tax Department can detect massive tax evasion in this area.

With Jaitley as FM, the economy is going to be entwined with legal mumbo-jumbo, and no real breakthrough is likely to occur in Modi's term in office. If Clive had petitioned high court to establish an empire, instead of using what he had at hand,he would still be waiting.Probably the sole reason Jaitley is FM because PM is beholden to him. Arun Shourie would have been a better choice. Flat rate of taxation for all, with no exemption, from beggar to a billionaire will simplify tax collection.

give middle class cheap credit and protection from cheap imports classified as components by billionaires company. this will increase stability. dilute FCRA and FEMA laws. allow people right to be rich inturn it will create investment and consumption. remove tax on savings and investment completely. start taxing people from 5 -6 lakh rupees at 10% as its basic they need nowadays.

biggest issue is middle class lost means and tools to earn high income inturn destabilizing power and economic power structure. its mainly due to favouring rich business and technology evolution. a billionaire stand on shoulder of millionaire. if millionaire is not happy billionaire won't be able to continue on his position

in India current risk is middle class slipping into poverty and rich becoming more rich due to globalization and technology evolution. oligarchy policies of past created financial suppression which created tax evasion adding technology and globalization makes India a pressure cooker without safety valve.

biggest problem why tax evasion happen is due to economic power structure which favor oligarchy in India. which made India having high gini coefficient making India prone to revolution similar to French revolution solving it by high taxation won't help.

Sir, At present our main problem is corruption. We do not have any fool proof mechanism that will be stopping the corruption. To create a new law for arrest the corrupt persons, it is more important to create a mechanism against the corruption, that mechanism those alert the government before or at the time of corruption when some bodies tried to corruption. I am attached herewith a PDF file about the corruption. Regards, Birendra Kumar Jain bkrjain123@gmail.com

Sir, please go through the Bhaskar news clipping dated 01/11/2015. For various construction/lighting works for UJJAIN SIMHASTHA 2016, 2515 crore rupees are to be spent and the CENTRAL GOVERNMENT is also one of the STAKEHOLDERS. Considering the POOR QUALITY AND INFLATED COST of all the works, it seems that there is no effect in spite of the PMO DIRECTIONS. Huge public funds are at stake. There fore keeping in view the central govt's stake in SIMHASTHA, Please immediately order for a CBI probe.
