One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Sir, Kindly make it easy for manufacturers in India to be able to sell the same product in India or export the same product. Customs duty is the major road block. The system should allow us to pay duty and get the goods into India and be able to immediately take the credit in case of export of the same goods or any customs duty liability that arises in future. At least credit should be automatic on production of export receipts. Advance license and duty drawback are too cumbersome. Jai Hind

Presently Citizen paying Direct tax have no direct benefit . There should be some pension scheme/ unemployment allowance according to taxes paid by that citizen till that date. This will incentivise person to deposit more taxes

As per GST draft , Cenvat credit is more or less restricted as per current Cenvat rules. Any expenditure ( revenue /capital) should be 100% eligible for 100% Cenvat even for buildings / cars used if they are used for factory/commercial uses.

Major problem is fair deployment of planned budget expenditure. Majority of planed expenditure does not reach actual needy. Revenue side of budget should be coupled with 5 year plan & tax rates should be fixed for 5 years . ( may change in case of national emergency) Every year budget session should be continuous process , each ministry / department . major welfare schemes should make presentation/ activity report for the funds utilised in previous year.

Sir, to make Make In India movement success, investment in plant and machinery, land and building is a must. To promote, this it is suggested that Cenvat Credit on Capital Goods be allowed 100% in the first year itself, and input service credit of Service Tax paid on works contract pertaining to construction, expansion, renovation of factory and labour welfare be allowed and removed from the restricted category.

My suggestions are....Bring every indian citizen to pay his tax liabilities either directly or indirectly. No Govenrment should be allowed to offer free beniefits to the citizens. Tax payers should be paid by handsome pensions and other facilities should be offered to them not the non tax payers.

Dear sir, My view about taxation in INDIA. *Taxes are paid for "WALFARE & DEFENCE". *So,it need to be collected. *Every country has different situation & policy regarding tax. *We should pick up GOOD CONCEPT from other countrys' taxation laws. *We need to increase EXPORT by establishing MANUFACTURING UNITS IN INDIA TO GET REVENUE. I am sure a lot of People in India are ready to pay Tax. The only issue is transparency on what is the amount being used for. If there is system that allows the people to select for what am i paying tax for? To improve the road I live in. Improve the City I live in, Improve the school I studied in. Donate for a Cause that i believe in like Women Education etc. I a sure People will happily pay tax for them.

The Government must tax and target wasteful consumption. Imposing a stiff "carbon tax" on diesel seems highly desirable. World oil prices have fallen to historic lows and rather than encouraging consumption we must instead capitalize and add on a stiff penalty that gives us the double benefit of increasing revenue and arresting pollution especially within 10km of large cities where only "Turbojet"etc should be available. Moreover tax is collected very efficiently. In this way all consumers pay.
