One of the key priorities of the Government is to provide a non-adversarial and a responsive tax administration with the main objective of creating an environment conducive for achieving higher investments and growth. At the same time the focus is also on ensuring ease of doing business for the taxpayers. For individual taxpayers, Government endeavours to promote voluntary compliance by making compliance easy and reducing the cost of compliance for the taxpayers. These steps are aimed to ultimately result in buoyant revenue collections, reflecting higher growth, leading to higher standard of living and better quality of life for the citizens.

The Department of Revenue invites taxpayers and general public to provide innovative ideas and suggestions on tax policy and administrative issues with the objective of ease of doing business and reducing compliance cost for industries thereby facilitating buoyancy of revenue and increase in investment leading to higher growth.

Taking away gas subsidy to those with income of Rs.10 lakhs and more is a step in the right direction. Apart from considering about running a lucky raffle among surrenders of subsidy which idea was suggested by self in my earlier post, I also think that subsidy to car or truck or van or bus owners can also be withdrawn from January 2016. If these people can afford to own such vehicles then surely they can afford to live without the monthly subsidy of Rs.200

1. Include Rural businesses into tax gambit. 2. Provide rebate for genuine tax payers. 3. Minimize cash transactions to the best possible extent. 4. Increase medical bills tax exemption from Rs.25000 to Rs.50000 (at least). Because each chronic ailment tablet costs minimum of Rs.30. 5. IT slabs should be reduced to very minimal. 6. Increase 80C limit to atleast 3lakhs/ annum 5. Reduce the time period of five year tax saving deposits to at least 4 years.

Pm sahib, the government should phase out all notes above 50 rupees denominations progressively as part of drive to weed out illegal cash transactions. this could act as deterrent for counterfeit currency and even to some extent transactions related to corruption

a) The Slab of Income tax is not practical in my view. Tax slabs should be at least 4-5 times instead of 3 for Example if taxable income is i) 1,00,000.00 - 5,00,000.00 : 10% ii) 5,00,001.00 -10,00,000.00 : 15% iii) 10,00,001.00 - 20,00,000.00 : 20% iv) 20,00,001.00 - 30,00,000.00 : 25% v) Above 30,00,001.00 + : 30% This way revenue of govt will increase many fold from the tax paid by individuals.more view in files attached

How to curb circulation and further generation of Black money Most of the black money is invested in the transactions of the land in which payment can be done partly in cash. Registry of the land is done on the amount paid through account payee cheque which is lower than the actual sale price and balance in cash which is mostly out of books i.e. in the form of black money. To stop this practice or rather malpractice a Land Exchange of India(LSI) should be incorporated on the lines of NSE

Sir. some suggestion in respect of direct tax policy in the country. To curb the black money we should reduce the income-tax and impose Asset tax in the country. The persons who are purchasing properties or other assets should pay tax to the government. By doing so the persons who are earning black money they have to pay the tax and their assets come on the records of the government.

Please consider running a raffle for those who surrender subsidy on gas. Suggestion, monthly raffle, number of prizes 5000, minimum Rs.10,000 and maximum Rs.1 cr with many prizes in between with total monthly prize money being Rs.10 cr. The raffle should last 24 months. By raffling away Rs.240 cr in 24 months I am sure that almost 90% of the connections will surrender subsidy reaping huge benefit to government.
