Due to lack of clearity in the service tax rules, service providers are not submitting service tax even paid by service receiver in most of the contracts finalised by PSUs & Govt. Deptt.
It is suggested that the responsibility for payment of service tax should be made on service receiver in case of service receiver is registered Co. And in case of service receiver is individuals, the service providers will pay service tax.

In next budget, we hope that GST will be implemented from FY 16-17 or latest by 1/6/16, but, I suggest that, the service tax limit of rs. 10 lacs is very law, by which, govt. losing so much other taxes, Therefore, the exemption limit of service tax should be increased to 25 lacs & it is also resolved that, the benefit of basic exemption will be available in every year, instead,if last year income increased than basic limit, tax are charging from beginning income of rs.1/=,pl.change, best wishes

Please move the service tax exemption limit to Rs 25 lakhs turnover, the service tax department unnecessarily keeps sending notices to small assesees every 3 years to submit our accounting records, instead small assessees could be asked to self certify that their turnover is within the exmption limit and hence they are not required to collect/pay service tax. This will reduce unnecessary paperwork for all.The the department needs to only send notice to those who have not submitted selfcertificat

Software improvement on efiling portal is required. When taxpayers proceed for rectification request for mismatch in tax credits the taxpayers is not advised properly that all tax payments like SAT or AT be reflected. As a result sometimes taxpayer only supply the new tax payments and do not supply the old SAT or AT. This results in erroneous tax demand U/s 154. Proper guidance required on the Rectification module. There is hardly any help available on efiling portal that will help guide us.

1) Rounding off logic in ITR excel spreadsheets vs the CPC processing centre is different. This results in unwanted tax demand of minor amounts from Rs 1 to Rs 100 to the taxpayer which leads to confusion. There should be single ROUNDING logic in all softwares and programs for income tax returns, its software and processing centres. 2) Taxpayers while processing Rectification Request are not guided upon properly on the efiling portal. Eg the Schedule IT payments do not reflect properly.Improve
